I really wanted to like this place. I adore Indian food and I was psyched by the glowing reviews. It's also close enough to make it convenient. But, it was a bit of a let down. The waitstaff were extremely nice and eager to please, however on that particular night they just couldn't get it together. My husband got chicken instead of lamb, than they charged us the wrong order. Now for the food. The chicken tikka we got to keep while the lamb was cooking was tasty, but how could it not be with all that ghee and cream? One more of those and I will sure need a triple bypass. I needed a jackhammer to get the leftovers out of the container the next day. Needless to say, I decided not to eat it. I ordered a chicken masala dosa which came with Sambhar, a vegetable stew. It had a piece of root veg in it so old it had bones! I'm all about second chances, so we will be back as there are many more interesting items on the menu, but I'm in no particular rush.

After what feels like a ridiculous number of "check-ins" here, an update is due. Recently (and what feels like pretty much weekly), I've been in to play Trivia, and enjoy the beers (still good and a fave) and the half-price appetizers. For half-price, I will stand "mediocre" food with my beer and had for a little bit (I'm a "hungry drinker")... BUT they must have recently changed their frying oil or something, because the popcorn shrimp and calamari are crispy and flavorful! P. S. So... a nod and kudos to brew master Aaron for coaxing me back into Watch City. His msg really uplifted my take on this place. P. P. S. In terms of the staff, Dylan and Mike take really good care of us... scope 'em out when you're there!

One of the best places to find very traditional Japanese food in Vancouver. Always packed so make a reservation even on a weekday. Fresh sashimi. Autographs from celebrities and all the Canucks. Try the sockeye salmon sashimi or uni.

62 Restaurant and Wine Bar

We finally visited Sixty2 on Wharf last night after walking by it for over a year. We will be returning very soon! Great meals all around! We started with the Arancini, Sausage, and Chickpea Fritters. Wonderful all around. The sausage with was a bit on the salty side, but I find that to be common with most homemade sausage. The next course featured the Tuna Crudo, Pork Ribs and Arugula salad. Again, wonderful all around. The tuna had just the right amount of citrus and olive oil, to complement the fish. Entrees were from the Restaurant Week menu and the lamb was some of the best I've had. Fall off the bone, melt in your mouth. The Faro salad was an excellent compliment. The Gnocci was perfectly sauced and the mushrooms provided the perfect bite. Overall one of the top 3 meals we've had in Salem.
Kaju Tofu House

An extremely disappointing experience. Save yourself the trip and go to the original location in Allston instead. The food at this location is overly sweet and the service is slow and very lacking. One of my friends didn't even get her order. When we asked they said there was some sort of delay and would check on the order. They hadn't even made it yet; in fact they forgot about it entirely! Even the side dishes weren't good. They need to work on a lot of stuff before I would consider coming back and right now i don't plan to again.
