Epicerie Cafe & Grocery

📍 Address: 2307 Hancock Dr, Austin

Stars: (3.5)

We saw the lights on at épicerie this weekend, and we're very excited to welcome them to the neighborhood! The decor is tasteful and beautiful, and they have a fantastic small grocery selection. There is a huge cheese case with every kind of fancy cheese imaginable, and super helpful people who let you try anything. There's also a great selection of cured meats and olives, as well as a ton of different wines and bubbly to choose from. We also ate a light dinner from the dinner menu, and we both loved our soups (clam chowder and tomato basil) and salads (egg salad and caesar salad). We had a side of frties, which were perfectly cooked and paired with a delicious aioli. Everything we didn't try but saw looked delicious, and the chocolate chip cookie was fantastic. Wish we had saved room for beignets, but we'll just have to come back! We will definitely be regulars at this cute neighborhood shop!

Market Street Cafe

📍 Address: 701 Front St, Celebration

I went to Celebration to get dinner. My first choice to dine had an hour wait for just 1 person so I walked to the Cafe and was seated within a few minutes. I've eaten here before and enjoy the food. It was great as usual. My server was very friendly (Kelli). Had the turkey burger and was happy to see they had spinach to top it with instead of lettuce. Had a cup of their tomato bisque which was really good. I got the fries with the burger, your regular restaurant crinkle cut fries, we fine. Was pretty full so didn't get dessert. My only problem was it took longer than expected to get my food (would have given 4.5 stars if Yelp allowed it). My server did check in with me twice to apologize.

Hale Pele

📍 Address: 2733 NE Broadway, Portland

I was expecting a tired and cheesy disney-esque experience and boy was I wrong! Met friends for happy hour and had the best time. I have to say the staff were exceptional. Super friendly and accomadating, and let us get all stupid over the flaming drinks. Ooooo!! Ahhhh!!! Loook it's on fiiiirre! duurrr!! I totally felt like a tourist and it was just fine. To enhance the touristy experience, I had to order...that's right..BLUE HAWAIIANS! That's rum, coconut something, pineapple, and blue something. Usually blue drinks have a windexy aura but this was absolutely fabulous. Not too sweet, not to heavy on the rum, it had a delicious coconut flavor. and topped with a small orchid. My friend got the flaming Krakatoa which tasted a lot like cinnamon and coffee. and Fire. We ordered several rounds of freshly fried taro chips, basil fried rice, and edamame. The were all a little heavy on the salt, and the edamame has a *lot* of sesame oil - but overall they didn't last long! The interior is awesome, complete with fake thunder and tiki smoke - on the hour apparently so you can keep track of time :) We're going to try for happy hour again next week! Thank you, Hale Pele!

Rogue Eastside Pub & Pilot Brewery

📍 Address: 928 SE 9th Ave, Portland

We went here for dinner on a weeknight. We sat ourselves and a server shortly brought us food menus and took our drink orders. The beer was quite good and the French fries are pretty dang awesome. My veggie burger was okay. A little dry; I should have asked for BBQ sauce on it. This place had a relaxed and laid-back feel to it. I was surprised how many people were there on a weeknight. I wouldn't want to go on a weekend! Looks like they'd have nice outdoor seating in the summer.

Miss Me Yet?

What a little gem! The food is absolutely amazing and the staff is extremely friendly, but what really made me love this place was the decor. It is movie theme throughout with amazing bathrooms! I will definitely be back soon!

SweetWater Last Cast Bar & Grill

📍 Address: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Concourse B, 6000 N Terminal Pkwy, Atlanta

I've always liked the Sweetwater beer, especially the 420 and the IPA, so when I had two hours to kill in the Atlanta airport I went in and grabbed dinner and a few beers. Very limited menu, but the chicken sandwich I got was very good, of course the beer was good, and the service was reasonable. They were busy, but there was a lot of staff so I had no issues.
