I am giving this place 4 stars because everyone else seems to like it and I do not want to cause a riot. I am sure vegetarians will love it. But... Okay- this place is a veggie restaurant, right? They were serving anchovies on pizza (?) and nothing vegan when I was there except salad. Yech. And sorry Tim R, I was told this place was a vegetarian restaurant, so sue my friends and some other Yelpers for telling me so (you may want to peruse the other reviews and the category it is in, or tell your boss at DD to change his business info-yeah, saw you on their blog, dude.) On that night there was nothing tasty for vegans. I had high expectations due to reviews. Maybe I will try this place again when I am sure I can eat something on the menu, I obviously went on an off night. But I have learned that their menu changes all the time, so next time they update their blog with something that strikes my fancy I will be back- so many Yelpers cannot be wrong?
Island Creek Oyster Bar
📍 Address: 300 District Ave, Burlington

Service was great. Wine and cocktails were perfect. We are Island Creek Oysters and some from PEI-oysters perfect. One person got shrimp cocktail which was over cooked-pass on that. I had the salad w cashews and goat cheese whip that was amazing. My husband had clam chowder that was so so. We shared the lobster roe noodles based on the coming highly recommended. They were so oversalted I found them hardly edible. The lobster meat was tough. I would never order again. The best part of our meal was the hot honey biscuit we shared. If we go again I would eat oysters, have cocktails and a salad and that's it-skip the entrees entirely. But otherwise, the food was great. Better to stick w what they're known for!

A little pricey but the wings are so delicious and big it's worth it. They are making a good effort at trying to get in some different craft beer every so often so I love to go see what they have new on tap.
Duck's Kitchen
📍 Address: 111 New St, Ste D, Decatur

Formerly Duck's Cosmic Kitchen - the name changed in 2013, according to Eater Atlanta. I haven't been here in a long while, which is strange because I thought the place was pretty fabulous when it opened in 2005. But I do enjoy their donuts regularly at Dancing Goats. Today I decided to break my long Duck drought and headed over for lunch. A great day to eat outside in their courtyard. At first, I had to figure out where the door was. Years ago, you ordered from the trailer-like building where the bakery/kitchen is and took your food either to an outside seat or inside a dining room located in the building to the back right. They now have a proper restaurant space and that dining room is some other business. The James Calvin sandwich is as delicious as I remembered. Fall apart pot roast with great walnut bread. The potato salad is pretty good, too. And the lemonade is perfect for a fairly warm June day. Service is as friendly and unpretentious as always. Duck's reminds me of the places you find in Grass Valley, California, if you've ever been there. Nice people with more than a little '60's counter-culture influence.

Enjoyed the full experience at this quaint restaurant. The location is beautiful and the ambiance the same. Each dish was delicious. I recommend the Brussels sprouts and the crab toast (my two faves). Great drink selection. I suggest getting a few dishes to try and sharing them with whom ever you are with.
