Decent - Quick and Clean. This is a great place for some quick Japanese food. The quality is very good on standard Japanese sushi and tapas. It's not run by Japanese, but the food is consistently good for a good price. It's clean and well run.

I love my job. Every time we have a Management get-together we end up somewhere awesome for lunch. I have to be honest, my Manager has an affinity for picking amazing places that just look like a hole in the wall. This place was one of them. We needed a quick lunch so we all decided to grab some sushi. When we got there we decided to dine in but the service was still super fast. It came within 15 minutes and they served hot tea and water for free with the meal. While the service was quick, our server was not the best. She was in a hurry and almost forgot 2 people at the table. I get it, it's lunch but cool your jets. As a previous server I know what happens when you rush. Don't rush. I ordered the Bento Box C. This came with a spicy tuna roll, tuna and salmon sashimi, Miso soup, wakame salad and a small side of salmon teriyaki. It was excellent. The first time I have ordered a Bento Box and liked every item. And they even have a brown rice option. Nice. The salmon was cooked well, nice and tender, the salmon and tuna sashimi was melt in your mouth and the spicy tuna roll was actually spicy. Kudos! If your near the area and want a somewhat healthy, quick lunch, try this place. It's small so don't get too excited about dining in. If you get the same waitress, be a doll and ask her to take a deep breath or have a beer and chillax! Geeze....

They used to have OK bubble tea, but it's gone downhill since. The size of their boba is much smaller than before, and not as chewy. For REALLY GOOD BUBBLE TEA, check out Infusions Tea Spa in Allston. They have amazing bubble tea there, and for the same price.

Not the best I have ever had. In fact, close to the bottom of the barrel. Ordered extra spicy. No even close. Chicken was heavily battered scraps. Rice was ok, but heavy salt made it difficult to eat. Even the tea..... Lipton! Want good food? Go someplace else.
Pandan Leaf

I don't know why more people don't come here! Pandan is a really cute place - there's plants up on the walls, single rose stems on the tables, and gentle music playing - and the food is really delicious, especially for the price ($12-15). I often go to Spice in Harvard Square specifically for their crispy basil chicken, but I've discovered that Pandan's is better, and I'll have to adjust accordingly. Also, the Thai iced tea is incredible, and so I will have to proceed with caution. However, there are a couple this-is-four-stars-not-five things. First, this is one of those places where the meat dishes is mostly meat and lettuce - which I'm sure some people will really like - but I wish there were more peppers/onions/broccoli/etc. to make a more rounded meal. Second, the service was very nice, but at the beginning of the meal they asked us "Do you want white or brown rice?" It wasn't until the end of the meal that we realized that brown rice was +$2, which wasn't on the menu. Nonetheless, this is a great local restaurant in the neighborhood that a lot of people (including me, until now) have overlooked.

Excellent cocktails! I loved the spot prawns, fried kale, and scotch egg. The octopus, cured salmon, and short ribs were ok, but the other items set the bar high. The menu is really interesting, would love to have a place like this in SF.
