Blue Star Donuts

📍 Address: 1155 SW Morrison St, Ste 102, Portland

Stars: (4)

DISCLAIMER: This review is completely based off my families personal taste and preference. Obviously others really like the donuts from blue star so our 2 star rating shouldn't be the reason you don't try it. Keep in mind that we are very adventurous eaters and usually we love weird, out of the ordinary foods. I will say the donuts weren't like anything we have ever eaten before. We didn't like the way they tasted because they were very lemony, very greasy (they left grease stains on everything they touched) and just didn't have the typical donut taste. After eating them I was very disappointed because they had such amazing Yelp reviews from so many people... I expected them to be life changing. As I read more, I realized that they were healthy alternatives to regular donuts as well as cruelty free and gluten free. After knowing that I bumped up my rating from 1 star to 2. The place was super cute and clean, the people were very nice and service was very quick. We got our donuts 30 seconds after we ordered them (on a Thursday morning around 8 am) honestly I still encourage people to try blue star because you either hate it or love it. I personally couldn't finish the donut but it was a cool experience.

Whiskey's Food & Spirits

📍 Address: 885 Boylston St, Boston

Stars: (2.5)

Came in over the weekend with few friends for drinks and had a tepid experience. Sat at the bar and the service was underwhelming as the bartender was super busy even though the bar wasn't that full.... basically saying it took a longass time for draft beers. The music was way too loud and trying to talk amongst the group was a chore. I suppose we could've asked for it to be turned down but leaving was easier. Bathroom was clean at least. Better off going to Pourhouse or somewhere else on Boylston (well except Lir) if you want to hang out with friends for a few rounds.

Coffee tasted weird and the breakfast sandwich was ok....I will only be back if I have to :(

Yak & Yeti Restaurant

📍 Address: Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park 775 Werikhe Way, Lake Buena Vista

Excellent meal. Better than most Disney resort sit down restaurants, including the Brown Derby

TM Banh Mi

📍 Address: 6812 NE Broadway St, Portland

Stars: (4.5)

Delicious banh mi sandwiches. I believe the bread is baked fresh daily and you can tell. The pickled carrots are fresh and crunchy, and the Jalapeno adds a perfect amount of booya to your sandwich. Not necessarily the best service. In fact the first time I ever stumbled into Binh Minh I felt like I was getting viciously accosted whilst trying to order my sandwiches, but I was hooked on the taste and each time I go back the service seems to get friendlier. The sandwiches are somewhat small, but filling and only 2.50 to 3.00 each, so even if you eat (2) its still a bargain. As Eazy-E said, its a cash only business.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar

📍 Address: 1400 S Congress Ave, Ste A190, Austin

At first the line looked long but this place has a super quick ordering process. We had just ordered our food and by the time arrived at our table our fries we're already there and the rest of the food very soon after! One helluva 5 dollla milkshake! Two thumbs up. Bison burger was outrageously good!
