Pannullo's Italian Restaurant

📍 Address: 216 S Park Ave, Winter Park

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)

So disappointing... Being part Italian I feel its necessary I find the great spots in town for whenever I need my fix. I really had hope for this place...a lot of hope! Venue: Pannullos is a store front indoor outdoor patio style restuarant. I really like the set up outside and the decor on the inside. The seats are super comfy and there doesn't seem to have a lot of traffic so we walked in and were directed straight to our nearest table. Our server was sweet and got our drink order in right away and promptly took our food order. Food: The menu sounds delicious. They have plenty of different options for the hardcore italian or even the pickiest eater. You can add a side salad or soup onto your meal and pick one of their delicious sounding appetizers. I ordered the Italian Sampler which was the chicken marsala or chicken franco, served over linguine with a stuffed shell marinara. We also chose the option of adding on the salad bar. Problem #1: The salad bar was basic, ice berg lettuce with a small bowl of spinach leaves next to it to help green up your plate. A few salad toppings here and there some of which looked like they had been from yesterday's left overs. It was mediocre at best. Problem #2: We ordered sweet teas and water...and you definitely need the water. The tea was over sweetened. Comparable to running through the McDonalds line. Problem #3: The meal. Our plates arrived relatively quickly so I am assuming they mass produce the meals in the back and probably gave us their first batch because it was around 11:30am when we chose to dine-in and they opened at 11a. The chicken was bland and at first bite you couldn't taste any flavor. The sauce had somewhat of a after taste but not a pleasureful one. The mushrooms were cooked well but they had the same flavor. Still hopeful I tried the linguini and it had this weird lemon after taste that almost turned my stomach. My last hope being the stuff shells also fell short, the shell wasn't cooked long enough and was kind of chewy. The sauce it came with was very bland and almost tasted right out of the can. Service: I commend our waitress and the chef. We decided to return our food and ask for something else but couldn't find anything on the menu that could save our lunch hour. The waitress tried giving suggestions and even the chef came out to apologize for our experience and gave his personal suggestions. We decided to leave instead of wasting anymore of our time or theirs. Overal: I hate giving bad reviews but I don't like my time being wasted with bad food. I would only reccomend this place if you want some wine. Its a pretty venue and you can't go wrong with wine bottles. You could probably have a nice happy hour on the patio or at the indoor bar BUT I would not recommend this place for food. They did a great job creating the menu and all of the savory descriptions but now I think they need to take some time and work on the actual product. Sorry Pannullos...this didn't hit the mark.

Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White

📍 Address: 901 Timberline Dr, Orlando

LOVED THIS PLACE! I was expecting the food to be mediocre but was pleasantly surprised when the food was AMAZING! Presentation was spot on! I didn't take pics of most of the food (sorry) because I was totally overwhelmed by Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey and The Queen! (Total Disney nerd here...) without going on and on the bottom line is... food was great, atmosphere was amazing and I will DEFINITELY be going again!

45th St Pub & Grill

📍 Address: 4511 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, Portland

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)

My friend and I came in here on Monday night last week. We decided to go in and have a drink after we finished trivia at IBU. The place is old school decor but I very much enjoy a good dive bar. The bartender was coming up from the basement and poured us our shots. We then played a bit of video poker, chatted with the friendly bartender then left.

Poor Calvin's

📍 Address: 510 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

In town for the weekend for work and my hotel recommended this restaurant. My coworkers and I made a reservation this past weekend and I must say, by FAR the best experience I've had since I've been in town. The food was Great nonetheless; but what made our experience so grand was the SERVICE! It was amazing. Our waitor Joy, was so sweet and personable. She kept us smiling and wanting for nothing. So polite and professional. She gave us all the information we needed. We had a party of 5 and a few of us had an allergy and she found the perfect dish that could be enjoyed without the hassle. The restaurant itself is a little noisy which would be my only complaint but our server really went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. I will FOR SURE be back to return if I can have her taking care of us every time. Ask for Joy when you get there. You won't regret it!

Two Urban Licks

The brisket hash was excellently prepared. Soft, tender, and juicy. The fried catfish came with nice cheesy grits which went nicely with the more structured and crisp texture of succotash.

1618 Asian Fusion

📍 Address: 1618 East Riverside Dr, Austin

While many Austin restaurants claim to be upscale Asian, most of them are just expensive. This one delivers. The food was outstanding. I ordered the spicy tamarind lobster and the salt and pepper shrimp. Both were crispy, delicious, and had amazing sauces. The staff was friendly and attentive and made great recommendations. I loved the decor and the whole place has a relaxing atmosphere. I will definitely be back.
