Rocanini Coffee Roasters
đ Address: 115-3900 Moncton Street, Steveston, Richmond

Best coffee in Richmond, hands down - and a tough competitor among coffee shops in the lower mainland. Quality is comparable to the best Italiancoffee shops along Commercial Drive. The menu is brief but contains interesting drink options. Latte to kill for! The only "but" I have for Rocanini is that they don't do blended drinks, like frappuccinos. But worth checking it out nevertheless if you are on the area
Oswego Lake House Restaurant & Lounge
đ Address: 40 N State St, Lake Oswego

I really, really like the location. As with most Lake O restaurants, the place looks great but isn't pretentious -- especially if you bring kids. I've gone for happy hour, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day Brunch, dinner & private parties. I'll be honest -- the food could be better. It's good but with this location & clientele, they could really go all out & charge more. I have never ate a bad thing there but I've never left saying "That was the best _____ I've ever had!" The cost seemed very reasonable. I would not have a party there, nor will I go for brunch again. They ran out of food at both of those events. My 9 year-old son declares it his new favorite "nice" restaurant (as opposed to Panda Express or pizza). The other kids seem to be very comfortable which means I heard no whining kids complaining about leaving. The dress code is pretty casual but it seems as though everyone is dressed up a bit. The service is outstanding. Happy hour is GREAT. Drinks are excellent. It's great place to hang out with friends or grab a drink before or after a movie -- which is right next door & I just heard they purchased the theater.
Agave Mexico Bistro & Tequila House

If you're craving good 'ol yummy mexican food with cheerful mexican music and tasty chips and salsa, this isn't the place for you. This is the kind of "hip" place you take a blind date you met online to order drinks and pick at your food while you struggle to hold a conversation. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for over a year, based on the mostly very positive reviews on Yelp. We went for a late lunch on Sunday and was greeted by a friendly hostess. The service was pretty good, besides waiting a considerable amount of time for our server to come (especially since there was barely anyone in there). To make a long story short, I will try to justify the two star rating. It appears two stars on Yelp means, "Meh, I've experienced better." And we've DEFINITELY had better food than Agave. What kind of mexican restaurant doesn't serve free chips and salsa? $7 for some store bought chips and a tiny shot glass of salsa? I would even consider paying for chips and salsa if there was some kind of salsa bar. The music was some kind of spanish dance techno. Not cool laid-back drum and bass, but this loud house music that almost sounded like some kind of pre-teen dance music. We split the combination fajitas and it was presented nice but it was very dry. The steak was over cooked and chewy. The side of black beans was too salty and the rice was in the shape of a pyramid. Yes, a small rice pyramid to justify spending $21 for ONE order. Bottom line: Go here for drinks and to stair at the fireplace. Don't go here for yummy homemade style mexican food.

If I could give Contigo 10 stars I would. Holy crap!!!! That was the best meal I've had in forever. We tried a little of several things. The country pate is good. The cauliflower gratin is good. The steak, ox tongue slider, house sausage, and pork liver pate are AMAZING! I will definitely be back again and again.

Went for brunch with my parents-was greeted by a hostess who had the personality of a zombie, was served by a waiter who was clearly stoned out of his mind and had the pleasure of sharing my meal with A MOUSE!!!! Yes folks you read that right a mouse. The staff seemed totally unfazed by this turn of events (perhaps because they were high as kites) and said "it was not a big deal not like it is a rat or anything-he is cute"-no apology no nothing just asked us to be quite to not upset the rest of the patrons (ignorance is bliss). At the end of the meal (which at this point we would not eat) the brought us the check and to our surprise had not even given us a rodent related discount! My mother looked at our served and said "is this really correct" and somehow through his weed induced hazed our waiter managed to realized that making customers pay to eat with rodents is lousy customer servic and gave us the meal for free and a brief "sorry" will NOT be back

I was very pleased to discover they have an extensive gluten free menu available on request (it's up on their website, as well). I had the Eggs Benedict on gluten free toast. Head's up: the homefries are cooked on the grill with the non-bf toast. They're on separate sides of the grill, but you might want to second-guess having them if you're super sensitive. Booths seem to hold 4 people, 6 if you squish.
