Kneaded Pleasures Cafe & Pizza

📍 Address: 3573 Far W Blvd, Austin

*Gelato Review Only* Today I had a mint chip and Reese's gelato. The only place in town that offers more Gelato for your $$ is Costco (and they only have 3 flavors). Both flavors were tasty, while it was't the creamiest gelato I've ever had, it was quite good and a better value than most the other local gelato places in Austin. I would return again to try more flavors. Also, their mural on the wall is pretty cool. I kept wondering how an artist goes about painting such a large picture, how much it costs, how long it takes....etc.

Wok On Roll

📍 Address: 1353 Brockett Rd, Ste J, Clarkston

As delivery Chinese Food goes, this one is a winner. They deliver quickly, and the food is always hot. It's as good as Americanized Chinese food gets in their area. My house hold has tried many other Chinese restaurants around the Clarkston area and have been very disappointed. But, I ordered from here on a whim, and really enjoyed it. The Chinese donuts are great!

Texadelphia

📍 Address: 3706 Guadalupe St, Ste B, Austin

Stars: (3.5)

This location rocks because - The nicest laundromat, Spin Cycle, is just across the street, so grab a lunch from there and chow it down at Spin Cycle. Or even better, have a beer at Texadelphia while your clothes are in the washing machines! - Rarely crowded - There are several automobile repair centers within walking distance, again, have a beer while your car gets an oil change! - If you want an ice cream after your meal at Texadelphia, just take a short walk to Amy's for the Mexican Vanilla with strawberries in a waffle cone!

El Oriental De Cuba

📍 Address: 416 Centre St, Jamaica Plain

Stars: (4)

Since their remodel post the tragic blaze, El Oriental de Cuba continues to be "un pedazo de Cuba en Jamaica Plain." A piece of Cuba right in the heart of Jamaica Plain's Latin strip. Post remodel, the restaurant is brighter and more cosmetically appealing. The food is the same great authentic Cuban fare - with the greasy Cuban sandwich as the trademark dish - but I've tried other plates and the fried plantains and all were yummy, although I haven't much experience with other comidas del Caribe. While I recognize that service has been a problem for others, I have never had any troubles with the service, and my only complaint has been that the restaurant was unnaturally cold, even in the winter, and extremely hot during the summer. I salute El Oriental for rebounding so nicely and so brightly, and am glad that this restaurant remains a charming part of this cultural blend "del Caribe y Sudamerica" in JP.

Dots Cafe

📍 Address: 2521 SE Clinton St, Portland

Fun bar with bar food! I'm reviewing this from 2002, don't know if it changed. Nothing special here but whatever, has velvet paintings, cheap everything. I ordered the chicken ranch farmer sandwich (something like that) once then kept getting it every time. I love chicken. And the atmosphere is cool, friendly waitstaff, cheap beer too. When I was there had a real nice little record store and a cheap dive bar across street and vintage store next door.

Dunkin'

📍 Address: 5095 W Broad St, Columbus

Stars: (2)

I stop at this location frequently when I'm in Columbus. The staff is always friendly & pleasant. Store appearance is neat & looks to be kept clean. Really don't have anything bad to say except sometimes they make my large Carmel Iced Coffee a little too sweet lol. Other than that, no complaints.
