Yummy tacos! Last night, we had the Pork Belly Pastor and the Short Rib. We also tried the Chicken Chorizo Tostadas. Carry out. All three were very tasty. I just wish the tacos had been larger, but I guess these are more like tapas. If we had eaten in, I would have ordered a few more of the Short Rib

Safeway

📍 Address: 1641 Davie Street, Vancouver

This Safeway is cheaper than other locations, they seem to cater more to the West End residents. Produce is expensive compared to small markets around. They're pretty good at managing lineups (unlike Davie Independent), and get you through the line fast. The inside is clean, updated, well stocked. The hours are great (open late), and bonus Starbucks (unfortunately lacking charm, slow, and average quality) but it still helps. If I need to do a large grocery shop, I come here because it's reliable and quick.

Boma - Flavors of Africa - Temporarily Unavailable

📍 Address: 2901 Osceola Pkwy, Orlando

This was a wonderful experience after spending a whole day in Animal Kingdom! This was an excellent, and an adventurous dinning experience. I felt like I walked away having learned about African culture and cuisine. You need to go here being willing to try new flavors and dishes. I am sure this food is not a mirror image to what is being served in Africa. But i think the chefs did a nice job at taking African flavors and slightly Americanizing them for a Disney restaurant. The soups....oh those soups... the soups were some of the best soups I have ever had... Carrot Ginger soup and the Creamed Chicken soup was giving me life. Pork shoulder pieces were a joy as well. My boyfriend really got into some of the curry dishes and other side dishes that we never heard of before. It was fun to try them! I did like the pastries as well, however I did not go crazy for them. We are very happy we made the choice to come here!

Be Our Guest Restaurant

📍 Address: Magic Kingdom Dr, Orlando

This was a great breakfast option! You go through a line to put your order in to a computer. There are healthy options, such as an egg white scramble with chicken sausage and fruit (I ordered this for myself and my child). We were also able to order "the gray stuff" which is their hallmark cupcake. It's $4.99, but I think it's worth it! When you sit down there is a beverage spot where you can refill your fountain pop, hot cocoa, or coffee. They will bring you your kid beverages (juice boxes and chocolate milk), the service will bring your order to your seat with a pastry tray. We received a small blueberry muffin, chocolate muffin, cinnamon roll, and crescent roll with chocolate chips. You have to make a reservation but if you are on the dining plan at Disney, it's a quick service! Don't forget to go in the dark room, it's "the west wing" where the rose and beasts picture are! Very cool place with decent food!

Citizen Eatery

📍 Address: 5011 Burnet Rd, Austin

What's with all the five star reviews of this place? Stood around the host stand unacknowledged for several minutes. Our waiter was totally clueless about the drink menu, and the drinks came out late and were gross, especially considering they were $10-$12. The food took forever to come out and two of the dishes had been microwaved. My pesto was gray in color and the oil had pooled on the bottom. I'll keep this short and leave it here. We need more veggie options in Austin, but you don't get five stars for filling a niche poorly.
