I finally got to try this place after having several friends in a week time span rave to me about it. And, well, they were right. It's tasty. It's inexpensive. It's totally worth it. I tried the curry mashed potatoes, the calamari, and something else I forgot the name of that was basically bread with a dipping sauce. They were all good. Icing on the cake: my tab was $12. You just can't go wrong here.

The reviews seem to imply that this place would be decent for food and a few beers.Especially if you're in the Fenway area. However, I have come here twice at peak partying hours on the weekend. I have to say, both times it was equally disappointing. For some reason, they charge a $5 cover. Perhaps it's for the seemingly undeserving cover bands that play there. While I was there, I thought I'd be funny and order a gin fizz. To my surpsrise, the bartender didn't even know what a gin fizz was. After explaing it to her, she made one for me, and it a was as good as mixed drinks are from any of these kinds of bars. I would avoid this bar, unless you're looking for a cheesy-music, drunk, ridiculous style bar.

I'm upping my star rating. We have actually eaten here many times now and I have to admit, it's pretty dang good. The Bacon Wrapped Quail legs are delicious. Perfect little bite with great sauces to dip in. I seem to be stuck on the Crispy Salmon with Crab and hothouse tomato wedges in a roasted tomatillo sauce. They keep the skin and crisp it up nicely. The roasted tomatillo sauce reminds me of what I cook up at the house with my chicken enchiladas. The bartenders are always quite fun and very personable and remembers our names. We love the fact that Noah is working here, since we liked him so much at Santa Rita Cantina before. What is really awesomeness is the bar scene during Friday night happy hour. It is a complete hoot. I mean talk about Cougars and Old Dudes hitting on anything that even appears single. The ladies have their hair up and generally are wearing throw back get-ups that reminds me sometimes of being in Studio 54 in New York. Tits up, butts out gurls. Then there is the old dude that walks in with a cane and sits up at the bar. The last time we were there with the Suz's Sister... I call her the hummingbird... he hid his cane and made a bee line to chat her up. I guess he wanted to charm the pants off of her.. literally... she would of killed the guy if they ever would of hooked up, but instead it was a great laugh. We bring it up every time we are in and see him working his magic on some other chickadee. Now we have a permanent reminder of our last meal there. We really enjoy the art they have there right now and after a great meal we ended up buying a painting right off the wall. Jack, who happened to be there, told us to take it home and bring back a check when we can. I was frankly quite surprised of that trust, but he has seen us many times, so I guess he knew we were good for it. We actually went home, grabbed a check and went back for one more glass of wine to celebrate our new wall hanging. Very happy to have them in the hood and it seems that the cursed location of many other attempts at restaurants has found a permanent home...

Ate at The Treehouse two times in three days. Main reason was the ability to have our dog with us. The burgers are outstanding.

We live right up the street, so we come here pretty often. Food has always been good, and my husband always loves the beer. I'm really picky so I always stick with what I know (Widmer, LOL) but my husband loves trying new things and has said their beer is pretty good. We normally get appetizers, since we are usually just stopping in for a quick drink on the way home but their sausage roll was AWESOME! The staff is always really friendly, and the service is quick. Great place to grab happy hour if you are in the neighborhood!
