Via 313 Pizza - West 6th

📍 Address: 600 W 6th St, Austin

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Meh, I've definitely experienced better. I was super disappointed after hearing that this was supposed to be Detroit-style pizza. What is that anyway: take a short journey with me to the most popular pizza joint in Detroit, Pizza Papalis ( http://pizzapapalis.com/). Now, does Via 313 even SLIGHTLY resemble this pie? Nope. Let's try again: quick and cheap eats pizza above Little Caesars, Jets Pizza ( http://jetspizza.com/). Yup, that's it! Which is no problem because I used to LOVE that 3-sided crunchy, fluffy dream, but this sadly wasn't it! I ordered a pepperoni and it was the regular, thin, store bought looking stuff under the cheese. Very lovely crust (hence the 2 stars), boringly flat sauce and not enough for my taste, and lastly at $12 I felt I was ripped off. I wish them well, but I will not be returning. Save your money.

Andina Restaurant

Its my third time in PDX and and been wanting to go to this place from the start because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Peruvian cuisine after spending time in the different cities in Peru (Lima, Cuzco, Arequipa, Aguas Calientes, etc). Sadly, this place cannot come close to even the mid range restaurants in Peru like Panchita, Saqra etc. For the price I paid here I would have rather dined in restaurants like Astrid, Maido etc in Peru or even Tanta in Chicago or Coya in Dubai. With this price point and hype, I was really expecting to get the same gastronomy experience as those restaurants but sadly did not. We ordered 3 small plates for starters and 2 main dishes. All 3 small plates were mediocre at best. The Ceviche that everyone is raving about is GOOD but not Amazing. I have tried Ceviche in different parts of the world and this one does not rank up there plus I find it expensive for what you get. The avocado with crab was a let down, it was subtle but the flavors were not complementing at all. I love subtle dishes but it only works when you taste the flavors in layers and even if they come in subtle hints, they harmonize very well. This did not do any of that. I tasted the avocado and I really had to dig deep in my taste buds to find the crab and whatever flavors were supposed to be there. I thought it was going to be a major waste of my time until they served the Paella. I have to say that it is one of the best Paellas ive ever tried in North America. Im a Paella lover and I really fell in love with Andina's version. This is a good dish which is worth the price point. I would go back here, order this dish and call it a night next time. Dont get me wrong this place is not bad in fact im giving it 3 stars but I find it overpriced, over-hyped and just not at par with celebrated Peruvian restaurants that I truly enjoyed. Taste is subjective, if you have been to Peru and been to the restaurants there and paid half the price for more delicious meals, you might be disappointed with this place. However, if you just want to try something different and value is not a big deal for you then this is not a bad choice. It doesn't help that this place is way too loud that you have to scream at each other to have a conversation. Our space is a bit cramped and the service was OK. Will I be back? Are you paying? If you are then sure otherwise, ill have to look somewhere else. I have no problems paying big bucks for a meal but they have to be worth my hard earned money.

Nice eating experience. Good selection, great atmosphere. Great food(except the French fries tasted like they had once been frozen, so I returned them). Expensive- not a place to go every week. But great for a special occasion and worth the $

Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint

📍 Address: 1544 Piedmont Ave NE, Ste 219, Atlanta

The staff here is either untrained or really just doesn't seem to care. Either way it's a major turn off to see employees grabbing all the meats and vegetables with the same glove hand. The two girls literally cross contaminated every single topping. Ewwwwwww. If you are a vegetarian do not eat here . The pizza itself is average. If the cashier hadn't been so nice this would be a one star review. Get it together and stop texting in front of the customers...

Grill On the Go

This is one of the most delicious food carts I've been to lately. I ordered via Postmates a week ago and the Gyro was so delicious I decided to stop by on my way home from work today. I didn't have as much cash as I thought and ordered the Gyro platter, then changed my mind when I realized what I had in my wallet and they offered it for the same price (one dollar less than menu price) as the gyro! Not to mention they are super affordable, generally dairy free & so quick! The chefs were well mannered and seemed to be in a good mood. I love this place & I think it's my new go-to for a quick (and reasonably priced) bite to eat! Thanks guys!
