Rose & Crown Dining Room

📍 Address: 1510 N Avenue Of The Stars, Orlando

Enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage. My daughter ordered the vegetarian Savory Hot Pot. No idea what was in it but, there was an overwhelming flavor that was nasty. Server had to see that she barely touched it but, asked no questions. I suggested she send it back but, she didn't want to cause a problem. It would have been nice if the server had taken the initiative. We go to Disney every year but, this restaurant is off our list.

Pho 54 & Grill Vietnamese Restaurant

📍 Address: 1361 Alafaya Trl, Ste 160, Oviedo

Still like the place! Would be nice to have some vermicelli dishes on the lunch specials menu since it's getting too hot for pho...

The Thurman Cafe

📍 Address: 183 Thurman Ave, Columbus

I almost failed calculus in college. I don't remember the Alamo. Sometimes, I can't even remember my own phone number. There are a lot of things I don't know, but food ain't one of them. I know what's good, and if you tell me there's a "best burger in Columbus", you can be sure I'm going to try it and let you know how good it really is. Now that I've finally tried Thurman's burgers, I want to ask what the hell everyone is smoking, and can I have some? I can see how if you romanticize the food at the Thurman Cafe because you ate it in a haze of alcohol-soaked glory, it could possibly rate higher on the awesome-meter than your typical burger. But stone sober, on a Saturday morning, these burgers were really not anything more than "meh". Their size seems at first to be a virtue-- "3/4 of a pound for under $10! Cha-ching!", but eventually you realize the massive size is these burgers' Achilles heel. Cooking something that thick sucks all of the moisture and flavor right out of it. Yeah, Thurman's offers all kinds of tasty-sounding toppings, but true burger lovers don't eat for the toppings-- we're in in for the beef, baby. I will give the Thurman Cafe some points for excellent historic dive-bar ambiance (the menu printed in Comic Sans made it even better), and some more points for the pretzel bites, which were delicious. Unfortunately, I'll have to continue my quest for the best burger in Columbus.

Halfway Cafe

📍 Address: 200 S Franklin St, Holbrook

Stars: (2.5)

I like this place for lunch but if you are going for drinks paying $6 for a draft beer (Sam Adams and angry orchard) is insane to me. I could go to boston and pay $6 for a Sam bottle. I would never drink here again. On top of it all my last drink had a chipped glass which I cut my lip on and the only thing offered was another drink. Holbrook is not boston.

Dixie's BBQ

📍 Address: 337 E Hastings Street, Vancouver

So I have to admit I don't eat meat, but I do enjoy a well stocked bar with a unique menu - Dixies doesn't disappoint! Also, the space is adorable and the owner is equally adorable ;) I love that the location is in the heart of the lower east side. It gives it just that much more character and intrigue.

Barcelona

📍 Address: 263 E Whittier St, Columbus

This was my second time going to Barcelona, and it was just as great as the first! We had the paella's as well as calamari, artichoke salad and a marinated pepper salad. All were delicious! Great for date night. And killer happy hour deals!
