Madras Pavilion

📍 Address: 9025 Research Blvd, Ste 100, Austin

Stars: (3.5)

I had a phenomenal meal at Madras Pavilion! My friend and I ordered the muteer paneer, channa masala curry, 14 mini iddlies with sambar, vegetable samosas, and the paneer pakoda. The muteer paneer was good - basically, fried cottage cheese. The vegetable samosas were excellent! They were huge - the biggest samosas I've ever had. The iddlies were good with the various sauces we had. And my paneer pakoda was excellent - a bit spicy and wonderful. My friend loved her channa masala curry. It was an excellent meal. As an added bonus, we ordered delivery through GrubHub and our food was delivered 30 minutes earlier than projected.

The Original Dinerant

The food was incredible!!! So was the service:) Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable on the menu for the food and drinks, always checking in if we needed anything. The host was very nice as well, acknowledged every person that enter the restaurant with a welcome and smile. The only think that I would recommend is adding more gravy to the biscuits and gravy and hollandaise sauce to the eggs Benedict:) I will definitely eat coming back^_^

Fresh To Order

Fantastic food every time I visit. It's fresh, served quick and delicious. Huge bonus is that price is very reasonable. Today I enjoyed the grilled chicken. Yummy smoky sauce goes really well with the tender grilled chicken breast. The edges are a little dry but overall was good. The club salad was really good too. Good mix of sweet, tangy, salty and fresh.

Mister Tramps

They actually show professional cycling. Amazing! The beer selection is great, and the drink specials are good. The staff is super friendly, laid back, and good at what they do. The owners are great, very personable and accommodating. If you're going to order food, I recommend The Don - the best of their sandwiches (and I've tried them all). I come here for the drinks and atmosphere rather than the food, but I never complain about it when I order it.

Mezza Luna

We have lived near here for a while now and I honestly didn't know it existed. It's very small but incredibly charming on the inside, they had a live singer which was adorable and there seemed to be a large waitlist for tonight but we managed to get a table. The bread was probably the best I've ever had, a Rosemary focaccia. The prosecco was smooth and yummy, the Chianti was velvety and delicious. It got very crowded as the night went on with lots of older folks clearly enjoying copious amounts of wine. The Chilean sea bass was AWESOME with perfect olive garlic sauce, and the penne alla vodka with pancetta was hearty and flavorful, I had almost half my plate for leftovers because it was so huge. I loved the lively vibe and the knowledgable staff, we had a really great time tonight.

The food was good, the prices were great, the service was lacking. We liked Q'Kenan much better,
