Mike's Pastry has the best Pistachio cookies around! In fact my parents are ordering them and having them shipped over night to California for my brothers wedding. When I was in Boston I am not ashamed to say that at least ten of my fourteen vacation days I visited Mikes.
Flying Pie Pizzeria

Hearty, Honest Pizza. Love this place - had the Stromboli pizza, they don't kid around with the toppings. Huge chunks of tasty sausage, loads of cheese and pepperoni. The onions and peppers were undercooked and on the too crunchy/spicy side. I brought this up later to them and they said oh, terribly sorry, we would have re done it on the spot, but since it was in the past, we'll give you a discount on the next pizza. this btw the didn't stop me from eating all of it. As you might expect from the name, they hand toss the dough and it's quite the spectacle. One guy could toss two at a time! -- I also tried the miss piggy and the pesto. To me ,the miss piggy got too salty with the candian bacon, smoked ham, sausage mix. very meaty, but too salty. the Pesto (gourmet veggie) was very nice! Will definitely be back again for the Stromboli. oh yeah, Score one for Milwaukie!!!
Señor Frog's

this place was barren, no one inside, the server kept suggesting the same item that i didn't want, and argued with whatever I chose off the menu, telling me it wasn't enough food for me and would suggest his favorite dish, which again...i didn't want. He pushed me to change my side item because he didn't think I would be full, then brought me an entirely different side item, and charged me extra for it. This place is overpriced, $15 for a bbq pork sandwich and fries? The best bbq places like 4rivers doesn't even charge that for 2 sides and GOOD bbq, the food was bad, cheap and tasteless, and we sat for so long waiting for the check we had to actually ask for it to even get it. won't be back. don't waste your time.

I had an amazing experience at Old Thousand. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is amazing!! If you want a secluded, quiet setting this is not the place, there is an amazing energy that transends the entire dining room. I sat at the bar area so I could watch the chefs thru the open kitchen and loved watching them meticulously work! The food was amazing, so simple, yet refined at the same time! During my visit the Owner stopped by to check on my experience and we chatted for awhile. Great young man with a great concept here he is trying to build! I would highly suggest this restaurant to anyone in Austin that enjoys Asian food. It is definitely more traditional of a feel when it came to the food but with modern twists! Love, love, love!

Sorry, I hate to write bad reviews ! But was a disaster! Long line, awful service, the waitress spilled a whole hot chocolate drink ( on my IPhone 6) and table while picking up the menus . Accidentally I understand but not after a water bath from the previous server . Very very sloppy!!! I honestly don't even remember the food, so certainly I was not impressed. Sorry Mother but was bad, a suggestion " Take care of the clientele that help you built your reputation ".
