Stretch the Noodle
📍 Address: 232 SW Washington St, Portland

Pro: -Authentic hand pulled noodle -Big portion Con: -Sauce for chow mein is very blend I always enjoy good noodle, especially hand pulled noodle. The wait is reasonable since your dishes are made to order and noodle is freshly pulled right in front of you. I don't mind the wait but I wish the chow mein has more flavors. Plenty of food trucks in Portland, it will be awhile before I come back for my second visit.

One word:DISMAL Years ago....this place was good. Very good. Now? Yesterday I went early with my kids. Service was pretty good. Food......ewwww. LOOOOONNNNGGGGGG time for our food to come out. Sides, Apps, Misc, etc. Beans- dull and flavorless Coleslaw- pretty good Corn bread- I liked it French fries- thin and crispy- best thing we ate there Classic BBQ Burger- can't figure out if it was a joke Nachos- Oh boy. Little cheese, crappy chips- skip 'em! You know, all that was forgivable. But for a BBQ joint to charge $23 for a plate and serve: Beef rib (1) St. Louis ribs( 2) Baby back (2) Sausage- (1)- NOTE-stunningly bad Brisket (3 slices) ALL......everything........ALL were way, way, way overlooked....dry, hard and crusty. No smoke ring. Just burnt and gray. These were took a long time to arrive and, amazingly, were cold AND overcooked!! My mistake......I came too early and must have had yesterday's left overs! No kidding.....the pork bones disintegrated when I bit them. I can see serving this stuff for the lunch special, which I've had in the past there and which I thought was a good value.......but such garbage .....and that is my honest opinion of what I was served last night......should never, ever be served to customer paying for a full priced dinner. It's sad. I've been many, many times, but I'm done with Redbones! When a place cares so little......when all that matters is $$$......I can't return. The owner(s) had an institution! You were legendary! You brought us BBQ years and years ago! Bring back some standards! I wants to love you again, but I'm disgusted and insulted by what you served me and my family last night.

Awesome service! We are visiting from out of town for a few weeks and we are already feeling right at home here. The Bartenders are superb! Definitely come by and see them!
Pine State Biscuits
📍 Address: 2204 NE Alberta St, Portland
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)
Wowzas. I had the MoneyBall, which was 2 biscuits smothered with a spicy gravy and an egg on top. You can upgrade and have 2 eggs on top. The gravy was spicy (possibly either paprika or cayenne) which added a really pleasant twist to the dish. The biscuits were fluffy, golden and melted in your mouth with every bite. Cute little place, had plenty of seating, for larger groups too.
J. Alexander's Restaurant
📍 Address: 4701 Ashford Dunwoody Rd, Atlanta

My family and I were looking for a dinner restaurant with good food, variety, and ambience so I went to my trusty reference site - Yelp! I used to frequent this place back when it was Houston's and honestly very little of the interior has changed. I liked the varied choices and not-expensive prices. We all enjoyed our dinner and the service was equally good. Remember this spot next time you're looking for an upscale casual place for a nice meal.
Neptune Oyster

It was a rainy wednesday afternoon in the north end. after spending the morning at the new england aquarium, my girl and i happened to stroll by neptune. the variety of seafood from their front window lured us in. plus it was pouring outside so what the hey, let's gooo... what a suprisingly delicious spur of the moment choice. the restaurant itself is small but cozy. the oyster menu was plentiful of both local and far away choices...i liked how the menu specificed the orgin of each type of oyster...the cape cod ones were especially fresh. the waiter was nice and efficient...asked what was on draft...a lot of dark beer but they had a beer made from oysters...naturally, i'm curious so i decided to try it. it tasted a lot like a guiness with a small cup of ocean water mixed in (and expensive **$15!!). when it comes to seafood, i always splurge. i grin as the plateful of delectable seafood arrives...my mouth waters... littleneck clams = creamy, oceany taste...w/ some lemon juice....perfecto! cocktail shrimp = colassal sized, fresh, a definite must sea urchin = interesting but not for me cooked mussels = this was on their regular menu...the sauce from the mussel plate was like a soup...dip it in with some bread...so delicious! oysters = tried to order some from every region...some were creamy, others were oceany sweet...i enjoyed every one of them... i highly recommend this place for the raw bar...can't say much about their regular stuff but i'm sure it's good too. they say oysters are an aphrodisiac food. later that night, my girl and i confirmed this fact.
