Food was good. A little overpriced, imo. Service was very poor. The restaurant does not have any soy sauce at all. This was a little weird to me. The whole experience to me screamed that they barely had enough money to go from their trailer to this brick and mortar. Like, full credit cards in an attempt to make the jump. Which is not necessarily a bad thing if you have all your bases covered; which they don't. Lastly, the Bahn Mi's need more sauce.

Ok. Not great. Would go back to try something else. Disappointed in the beignets. Tasted like they fried them in the same oil they use for the shrimp!

Visited Atlanta for a wedding and only had one weekend to eat our hearts out. Dinner courtesty of Yelp's raving reviews. So many good options to choose from. We ended up with the following: Chicken Soup (soup of the day) - phenomenal, probably one of our best. It tasted like it's been cooked for hours. Very fresh and the extra kick of spice hit the spot. It was a creamy version but did not feel heavy at all. Mains: Burger(great) and Shrimp & Grits (delicious and perfectly portioned) Sides: Grilled asparagus (crunchy and touch of salt, perfect) & Truffle Mac N Cheese (delicious. anything topped w. truffle is fantastic) Overall, we loved it here. The service was great. We both at a booth facing the center of the restaurant and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. It's a spacious restaurant. Great for parties.

I'm from Texas, so I've had my fair share of Mexican food. This place was definitely the worst Latin-Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered a chicken quesidilla, which they recommended to me saying that it was "very good," and it tasted terrible. It was too creamy and flavorless. I couldn't even finish the plate - I only ate about three bites before losing my appetite. My boyfriend had a similar experience with the enchiladas. The cheese was hard and tasted like plastic. It was a complete waste of good money. Taco Bell would've been much more preferable to this place. If you value your taste buds and money, do not waste your time here. (I only made this yelp account so I could warn people about this place...)
Fish Grotto
📍 Address: 1035 SW Stark St, Portland

Visiting my niece for weekend who works in Portland area - we wanted fish so after looking at several options decided on Fish Grotto - am glad we did The atmosphere is very cool retro looking. I loved it ...expected to hear Sinatra music in the background - cozy. I had the spice rubbed salmon - the fish was nearly melt in your mouth so fresh - absolutely delish. She had the Ahi Tuna Nicoise - also fabulous and tender. Both cooked perfectly. ( I did prefer my salmon more med than med rare and it was.) I asked to sub quinoa for potato and it was no problem. Extensive wine list contrary to a previous reviewer's comment. We started with the (large) stuffed mushroom appetizer - very yummy, I ordered a whiskey sour which seemed appropriate for the look and feel of this restaurant. I really recommend based on what we had- I figure if you put the word Fish in your name you should do that well and they did. Service was quick attentive and polite. I will go back again. Reasonable as far as price I think also.
Redbones BBQ
📍 Address: 55 Chester St, Somerville

Being from Texas, I enjoy a good plate of barbeque ribs or brisket every now and then, but when you want good barbeque in New England, I suppose there aren't so many options available. It's lucky that Redbones is around to satisfy the craving. I would say this is average barbeque - not awesome, not terrible, but a pretty good, solid plate of meat when you want one. I have some qualms about their sauce - the regular BBQ sauce isn't as thick nor as sweet as I would like in a good sauce, and has a really strong vinegar taste. Their drinks are pretty creative and come served in canning jars - a nice touch. The atmosphere is loud, crowded, "rustic" - awesomely authentic! I'd come here just for the nostalgia of it because it reminds me of my school days in Texas. Whoever designed the interior of this restaurant clearly knew something about how a real BBQ joint was supposed to look.
