Closest thing to New York pizza, in all its foldable greasy glory, you will find in central ohio IMHO. The sauce is balanced with just the right amount of spices, the crust is as you would expect from a New York pizza. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. Give it a try if you have not had it. If for whatever reason you are not impressed (I have always been) this is one place that is worth a second shot.

Our last minute decision was our best decision. This place is unassuming and humble, but a diamond in the rough. Everything on the menu sounded great and we wanted to order it all. We started with the chicken dill pickle soup and a bottle of wine, and then settled on the polish sampler with the smoked kielbasa, kraut, and stuffed cabbage roll with mushroom sauce, along with the perogie and pancake combo. The seasoning was just enough so that all of the actual flavors shone through. The smoke was perfect on the kielbasa and the crisp on the pancakes just right. We had a short wait when we arrived and they actually ran out the of some menu items as the night went along, so don't miss out!! To top it off we took the server's recommendation (who was very helpful) and had the coconut peach cheesecake. What a wonderful end to our meal. Our plates were empty and our bellies full... do yourself a favor and eat here!!!
Pepitas

I've always loved Mexico, especially the food. I don't eat it here very often though, aside from the awesome Red Burrito takeout. We went to Pepitas the other night before our show started. The restaurant was kinda dated looking. But not just the decor, the menu items, the dishes, everything. We had a coupn so we ordered a few things, though none of them sounded terribly original or even appetizing. To my surprise, the food was actually pretty good. The sauteed shrimp, the chicken fajita, and most of all, the fresh-made salsa. That said, I guess more than anything, my biggest complaint is that this place isn't very big on ambience. For the money, nearly $45, I think there's got to be about a million other places I could spend my hard-earned cash.

Salt Lick is a MUST EAT for your Texas BBQ trail. I'll get into the food in a second, because you already know that's awesome. It's quite a journey to get here but the place itself is so cool. When I think about Texas, this is what I imagine. Plus everyone definitely has genuine Southern hospitality and the wait was not too long. The grill pit is a meat lovers dream. So awesome. We sat outside and enjoyed a live band. I got the combo plate with ribs, brisket and the sides of potato salad, cole slaw & beans. Tastes like Texas. I was so full but you know, there's always room for dessert. We shared a slice of pie. What kind? That, I cannot tell you because I must have blacked out from food coma at that point... but what I can tell you is that we enjoyed every last bite of it.
