For quite sometime now I have personally developed a strong interest in this opening. On my frequent east side bike strolls I ponder why operations such as this have yet to pop up. This area of the east side area is a gem that has truly yet to hit its full potential. The restaurant itself is simple in its design. Simply clean, modern, and hip in the aesthetics. Nothing complex, but absolutely pleasant none the less. As for the menu it's also simple in its structure. But the food tells another story. Complexity is infused in every dish. Each serving you order will leave you saying "yes". Never was there one instance were we came across a dish that didn't strike our fancy. We started off with the vegetable part of the menu by selecting the sticky Brussel Sprouts, Zucchini, Frites, and Romaine Hearts. I highy recomend the zucchini dish to anyone. The use of carrot dressing, pine nuts, and feta with a sweet tone really left us impressed. The frites were cooked to perfection. The manzano dipping sauce surely was a nice complement. From the Wood Grill we ordered the charred octopus, chicken thighs, and Aleppo Praws. Now I have never enjoyed Octopus. Something about the texture throws me off, but for some reason that night I happily ate half of the serving! The use of a garlic aioli tamed the usual taste that octopus has. If there was one plate that didn't hit a particular high note it happened to be the chicken thighs. Though delicious, the chicken came out to charred and overcooked. The use of cassiatore and onion aioli layered under the chicken brought this dish up to being par. A spicy hint is added to the cassiatore that brings it up a notch. Finally, we came to desert. And indeed it was a treat! We ordered the sticky toffee pudding, hazzelnut layer Cake, and apple pie. If you were to meet me you'd get the idea that I am bit of a health nut. But if I was offered Launderette's desserts everyday I would be quite the fatty in no time! The sticky toffee pudding hit every note of excellence. The array of flavors is overwhelming, but in a great way. I have yet to enjoy a desert in quite sometime with little regret. As for the drinks they are easily some of the best in town. We started off dinner with the Breakfest of Champions and Tea Time Mule. Its important to note that any drink with mezcal automatically strikes my attention. The use of Mezcal in the Breakfest of Champions surly didn't disappoint. With the use of a Champagne saucer the mixture contained mescal, lime, orange flower water, and egg white. Pure bliss ticked up after each and every sip of this splendid concoction. The Tea Time Mule was noteworthy, but a bit to sweet for my liking. Mid dinner I caught a glimpse of a drink served at the bar that wasn't on the menu. Make sure to order this one: the House Margarita. What I truly loved about La Condessa is that they offed the most refreshing margarita in town. Absolutely the best in my books. And here, now at Launderette, I am pleased to say that they now have the best margarita in town! In addition to the restaurant, Launderette is soon to expand next door. At the moment it is a small grocery mart. Once the tenant lease is up they will start conversion of the place into a upscale neighborhood grocery store. In back of the grocery store shall be a Szechuan restaurant. Cant wait! Cheers!

I typically am not a huge fan of breakfast, but not at Bouldin Creek Coffee House and Café. I took the advice of some reviews elsewhere and opted for the "El Tipico" and my friend got the "Blueberry Cornbread". We shared each meal and we both were pleasantly surprised, as the food was quite good. Their tofu scramble is made with nutritional yeast, but it appears as if they dip it in the nutritional yeast after cooking the tofu - good idea, it was really good! The décor was neat; I liked the bent up forks attached to the overhead lights. The employees were also very nice!

Chick-fil-A

This was a must do for us Chick-fil-A fanatics. Arriving around 2pm, there was fortunately no wait for a spot at the counter and just a short wait for a booth. My girlfriend got the chicken and waffle while I got the house chicken sandwich with fried okra and mac and cheese. Fried okra here is a MUST. It's not masked by the fried dough on the outside and the bites aren't tiny pieces of fried dough. Mac and cheese was okay--room temp. Nothing too special. The waffle and chicken were a great combo. The house chicken sandwich is really what you would get at any regular Chick-fil-A. This place is also around a 6 dollar lyft line ride to the airport.

Went here for dinner last night and service was nahgud. Our server abandoned us after we ordered and occasionally one of the other staff would come by to deliver or take plates away. Our drinks were empty most of the time (during the meal one of the servers came over and goes, "Are you still working on your drinks or would you like me to get those out of the way for you?" I was liiiiike "uh we'll actually take another round" Weird.) I asked as we were closing out, "So who is our server?" Since our waitress hadn't come by in over an hour and I wasn't sure who I was tipping. I was told "We work as a team." Hm. Got it. Also when we made the reservation they said 7 wasn't available so we made it earlier. But then at 7:30 and even 8 we noticed the place was only about half full, and the nice tables by the windows weren't occupied. Who are they saving those tables for? Food was better than the service. Loved the bluefish pate, halibut crudo and corn chowder. Husband loved his cocktail and would've had more if it had been offered! Sadly, won't be back.
Home Slice Pizza

Perfect hangover food: huge, fresh slices of pizza with long strings of cheese that melt in your mouth. Their eggplant is good and so is the margherita. Have to stop in for a slice every now and then.
