I was in Austin back in December and visited Hopdoddy Burger Bar. The service was quick and the food was delicious. My brother and I ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries to share; and they were addicting to say the least. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quick and good bite to eat...just be ready for a nap afterwards.

I am so shocked at just how amazing the staff is here! Every single staff member was kind, helpful, and fun! The music was on point and after meeting Staff member Malcolm I knew just why. They made a playlist and picked out songs for the shift. It was so delightful to be there. We had heard so many amazing stories from locals about this gourmet donut shop that we had to visit! We waited for about an hour for the creme brûlée donuts to come out again. I really wanted that specific donut and the staff was so kind to tell me approximately when it would be ready. My partner and I then walked around for a bit and came back. Malcom was ever so kind to save me one of these as we waited in line. We purchased a beanie, chocolate ganache donut, the blueberry bourbon donut, plus some milk and coffee. I thanked the staff for being so kind and welcoming. It was a pleasant surprise to experience such good customer service and the donuts backed them up too! My creme brûlée donut was well worth the wait! Vanilla bean custard inside with the crunchy sugar glazed top and a tiny tube with flavor just hits your mouth with love! The chocolate ganache has some spice in there too and that donut was just an incredible dessert! The bourbon blueberry was out of this world with so many layers of flavor. You have got to get a donut (or 12) from Blue Star!

The place looks amazing. It unique and very casual/western. Very unique taste, I feel like I can bring my boys here and yet have a date here with my lady. I was a bit annoyed with them not fully cleaning the table, it was wet and u could smell the aroma of all the tables dabbed with water mixed in with the great donuts. Did I mention it sort of made the table sticky? The drinks prices are great, but the portion surprised me; for the price it was okay but come on, get us a bigger cup and let us enjoy the drink. I thought they were giving me drinks for a kid or like handing me a suppy cup with fruit juice. I really dig the mason jars because, I do not know, but it makes me feel fancy drinking water from a mason jar. The waiter was very presentable and she was diligent with us in ordering, especially me since it was my first time here. She explained the burgers quite well and she made it seem like she was the cook her self about to whip me up "what everyone is talking about." I got the Ron Burgundy, and it took almost an hour to get to me...I was actually out of all the things I had to talk about so it got very awkward at one point but we decided to buy more sippy cup drinks. It was okay. The mint chocolate is amazing. It literally taste like candy called Andes mint chocolate. It look so presentable as if I'm looking at an ad for shakes. The gladiator was great, but I thought I was stuffing a pillow in my mouth, literally a huge burger comprised of buns. Nonetheless it was quite good with ranch, nothing to special. One thing you will get for sure: food coma. Overall not a bad visit, maybe I chose a bad burger
Amrheins
📍 Address: 80 W Broadway, Boston

I've been to Amrhein's about four times, which totally contradicts the two stars that I gave them but I can explain: I live fairly close to Amrhein's so my going there is definitely one of utter convenience. They're food is always "meh." Food has to rate pretty low to come across as "meh" when you're really hungry. They're not expensive so that's a plus, but then again, if they're not really good I suppose that doesn't matter. Best way to put it, there's food you eat for enjoyment and food you eat to get full. I think you know what I'm implying. Another thing that I hate to mention (please know this is my sincere opinion and not bashing) but feel compelled to mention, is the smell of Amrhein's. On two different occasions I've been here and its smelled like dirty mop! Yup, like they mopped with dirty water or something...totally gross.

Best airport meal ever! Brown rice and dark meat chicken. Friendly service. Wish I'd had more than 15 minutes between flights to gobble down my meal.

Went here the other night. $2 of menu during happy hour. The menu felt like more of am appetizer menu than a meal menu. The chicken dumplings were wonderful. Nachos were wet and vegetarian... kings odd since they had antlers on the wall. Thought more of a meat place.
