Rolling In Thyme & Dough

📍 Address: 333 W Hwy 290, Dripping Springs

A darling spot to grab a bite to eat on your way to a day of wine tasting in the Hill Country. I enjoyed the Texas Two Step sandwich, which is only served Thursday through Saturday. I normally avoid a grilled chicken sandwich because the chicken can be overly charred or dry as a bone, but it came highly recommended by the super-friendly staff who greeted us at the counter. This version was moist and paired well with havarti, grilled onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and a chipotle sauce that brought a subtle kick. My husband opted for the meatloaf sandwich, which was perfectly fine, but nothing to write home about. On our way out, we eyed the cases of baked goods as big as your head before settling on a cookie to share as we hit the road. The cookie was packed full of nuts, caramel, chocolate, and oats - hearty and delicious.

Sandoval's Cafe & Cantina

📍 Address: 460 SW Miller Rd, Portland

Quite possibly the whitest Mexican restaurant I've ever dined at, which should tell you everything about the meal you are about to consume. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was definitely lacking some authenticity. I ordered the fish tacos-salmon. I love salmon, i love fish tacos. I do not love salmon fish tacos. My husband ate his food (enchilada, maybe?), but then was sick as all get out the following day. It is the closest "Mexican" restaurant so I can't say that I wont dine again. After all, their EXTRA SPICY salsa was delicious and I couldn't get enough, but possibly I will try something a little safer.

Cactus Club Cafe

📍 Address: 1085 Canada Place, Vancouver

Good food, nice service, no complaints. It is a huge restaurant and we had a pretty good wait for to get a table at lunch time on a business day. Great location near the Vancouver Convention center on the waterfront. Seems like a great spot for a business lunch.

Queens Cross Neighbourhood Pub

📍 Address: 2989 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver

Very cosy and welcoming pub vibe. They have a good beer list and good food. Definitely the best and closest option for anyone in the Westview/Edgemont area.

Thornton's Fenway Grille

📍 Address: 100 Peterborough St, Boston

Stars: (3.5)

The boneless buffalo wings here are to die for. They are perfectly battered meaty wings with the perfect amount of buffalo sauce and tanginess. The bleu cheese dressing is legendary and it has to be homemade and so creamy with huge chunks of bleu cheese. Definitely best boneless wings I've ever had. Go here at-least once a week! Huge portion for only $10 too!
