Excellent Food and Great Prices! Tropical Cuisine has always been consistent with delivering great food. A loyal customer for over 8 years. Whenever I try another Jamaican restaurant I am never pleased with the food. Tropicals really set the bar high!

I had my wedding cake made here, it was two tiers of awesomeness!! We got one part red velvet and one part chocolate Chantilly. AMAZING. We had so many compliments from our guests, can't wait till my birthday :)

Cattle Cafe

📍 Address: 4883 Kingsway, Burnaby

Came here right before the rushing catt... I mean people for lunch. A typical Hong Kong style cafe along with all the fast eating patrons. Must have been a short lunch hour. They would have had to chow down on pretty large portions. I had left overs from two dishes. I'd recommend the baked porked on rice combo with the cold drink on the side. Definitely worth the price but bring cash because they don't take plastic.

Punjabi Dhaba

📍 Address: 225 Hampshire St, Cambridge

This is not the most amazing Indian restaurant out there, but that's not what it's trying to be. But let me start with the things I don't like about Punjabi Dhaba: -the naan is downright mediocre, some of the worst I've had in a restaurant; -their samosas tend to be served lukewarm; -their chicken (at least in the chicken tikka masala) is just okay. But those negatives are overwhelmed by the positives. Their food is great, especially the vegetarian options; it's cheap -$8-10 usually gets me dinner plus lunch the next day; if you eat in, you get one of those great metal lunchroom-style trays, with onion chutney and yogurt sides; they're fast - they always say 20 minutes when I order by phone, but my order is almost always ready in 15 or less. For the record, I'm completely addicted to the saag paneer and the malai kofta. And I love the samosas, even though they're lukewarm.

Punjabi Dhaba

The food is pretty good, but the service is horrible. I used to go here pretty often but my husband has declared a boycott after such consistently bad service. "Fast food" is a huge misnomer; even if the place is empty (which is not very often) you will have to wait 20 minutes while the four guys behind the counter shift around sweeping and answering the phone. When it is crowded, you have to wait in line even if you've already called in your order. Even if you can see that your takeout is sitting on the counter getting cold. Even if the twenty kids in front of you have no idea what they want to order and must act out the ingredients of every dish on the menu before deciding what to order. Not very efficient. Overall, the food is definitely not good enough to be worth all the grief. There are so many great Indian restaurants in Boston. Plus it seems kind of dirty...

If you are looking for a quiet place to talk, don't go here. If you are looking to meet people, socialize and have a great time this is for you! The nite can be ANYTHING you make it.
