📍 Address: 401 NE 28th Ave, Portland

I am updating this review from one star to two due to the owners apologetic and prompt response to the situation. I will update again if we make it back... We didn't get to eat here despite wanting to, so this review is for the restaurants poor organization. We arrive and ask for a table and are told none are available, but the bar is. I ask if we can grab a drink at the bar and wait for a table, and a waitress puts us on a list. We're first on the list and I see others come in after us and they are added to the list by the same waitress. About 30 minutes later we still have no table and I see another waitress seat people that just walked in. I then see this happen again. In the meantime, the bartender is basically ignoring us, possibly because I told him we were waiting for a table!! After watching other people be seated and the girl who put us on a list walk by us numerous times, we left. If there's a wait list any staff seating people should be aware of it. Instead, it seemed like one waitress was adding people to a list while another simply seated them as they came in! Quite frustrating...

Via 313 Pizza - West 6th

📍 Address: 600 W 6th St, Austin

Stars: (4.5)

The best gluten free pizza I've ever had in my life, and I've had a lot!! It was so deeee licious that I couldn't stop thinking about it for days afterwards. Tried another one tonight, ate the whole pie by myself and wished I had ordered more. You have to ask for the GF dough (if that wasn't obvious already!) and they also have Vegan soy cheese but thankfully my belly doesn't hold any dairy grudges!! Best GF pizza of all time!!

Gracie's

📍 Address: 729 SW 15th Ave, Portland

I went for brunch on a whim (found it on Groupon Now)...I really WANTED to like this place--the atmosphere/ambience is great and the service was friendly--but the food really left something to be desired. I ordered Eggs Benedict & the eggs were over-done (the yolk completely solid), the home-style potatoes were under-cooked (and I'd even asked for "extra crispy"); my friend ordered the Hangtown Fry oyster omelet, which was totally overcooked--the breading on the deep fried oysters was dark brown, the egg portion of the omelet was browned, edges crisp & the body of the omelet was dryish and on the stiff side...and the English muffin was cold! What a disappointment! Really glad we didn't pay full price--and I won't be returning.

Sushi Me

📍 Address: 3655 SW Hall Blvd, Beaverton

Never going back! I had some funny shrimp ball thing or it could have been the muscles. Either way I wasn't impressed and my stomach suffered the consequences. My GF was really disappointed having lived in Hawaii her whole life she knows a thing or two about sushi. I on the other hand am a local and a personally have never ventured out of sushi hana. I don't know why we didn't go there. The selection at I love sushi is a joke. it should be called.... "how many different ways can we make a california roll"... I think i'll stick to Sushi Hana.

Hair of the Dog Brewery and Tasting Room

📍 Address: 61 SE Yamhill St, Portland

Man I wanna give this spot a five star, but the atmosphere just fails. The beer is phenomenal-- rivals any in PDX. I expected the beer to be more expensive based on store prices but I think I paid 4.50 for a 10% beer that kicked my ass. The food selection is minimal but what is on it is good-- brussel sprouts (four bucks) and plate of beef brisket (decent sized) and a side salad for seven bucks, and the mac n cheese looked good. We had just come from an opening down the block of Rose City Storage and the owner was serving free double IPA-- it was delicious!

Crispy Crêpes Cafe

📍 Address: 714 Commonwealth Ave, Boston

Great food, love the falafel and savory crepes. Wish they would switch the styrofoam packaging for takeout orders for something compostable, makes me want to go somewhere else. Would be 5 stars otherwise!
