The Paper Crane

📍 Address: 531 E Broadway, Vancouver

This is a little hole in the wall coffee shop, but serves up the cheapest coffee I've found in Vancouver. I just so happened to be in the area and wanted to get some work done on my laptop, so I hopped on Yelp and found this coffee shop close by. So, I popped on in. The dude working behind the coffee shop was awesome. Accommodating, super friendly, and made a delicious cup of coffee. I ordered my regular go to: oat milk latte and also treated myself to a croissant. The croissant was buttery, flaky and melted in my mouth, just the way I like 'em! This spot is unassuming, unpretentious, and great at what they do. It's a great neighbourhood gem that I'm sure I'll be back to visit again soon!

Tasty n Alder

📍 Address: 580 SW 12th Ave, Portland

Stars: (4.5)

I come here whenever I'm in Portland and have never had a bad bite of food. It's a quintessential PNW style bistro with inventive food, a nice wine selection and helpful, albeit sometimes aloof staff. A lovely place to spend an afternoon sipping wine with a few beautiful bites.

Gin Thai Brasserie

📍 Address: 3176 NW 185th Ave, Portland

Horrible Thai food. I would call it American Thai food. Worst pad Thai noodles I've ever had, for starters. The dish was near flavorless. The lettuce wraps were awful, with semi-rotten broccoli in them. When I complained about the vegetable crispy spring rolls, I was told they were premodern frozen ones from Costco!!!! Who tells that to a patron? This was our third and final try of this place. It was much better the first time when they had first opened up. Like Siam sand Khao San, it has gone way downhill and we won't be back again. Pad See Ewwwwwwwww.

Paddlefish Restaurant

📍 Address: 1670 E Buena Vista Dr, Orlando

We enjoyed a very nice lunch at Paddlefish while spending the day at Disney Springs. In my previous review, I remarked that the wine pours were a little short and the prices a bit high. While that has not necessarily changed, we've learned to navigate the menu better. On this visit, my wife and I shared the Fried Green Tomatoes. They are stellar. Perfect corn meal crunch with a zesty Remoulade sauce. I had a glass of wine. Like last time, it was about a 5-6 ounce pour - for $15. The wine was good, but that's a bit steep. We then shared the Crab Ceviche. Again, this was a delicious dish! Lots of lump crab and avocado and red onion and cilantro. Truth be told, it's not really a ceviche - it reads more like a guacamole with crab - but that said, it's delicious. We then split the catfsh. Let me tell you: the potion is HUGE. They kindly split it and plated at no extra charge. All in all, we left quite satisfied!

Cafe Allegro

📍 Address: 12386 SW Main St, Tigard

Closed permanently on 9/16/18. Great little locally owned restaurant, we were surprised and saddened to see it suddenly close down and I am already mourning the loss of my Spicy Chicken Alfredo.

Taco Ranch

📍 Address: 517 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin

I purchased a taco salad at this store and it was a tasty salad. I didn't have great expectations for this restaurant but their asada steak was well seasoned and the salad was filling. However my only complain is that they forgot to put my dressing in the bag. Therefore, to whoever is the GM of the store, make sure your employees are checking everything is in the bag before handing out to the customer
