The third star is entirely for the view of America's most beautiful city: Boston. The service was fantastic (I went for brunch) and the mimosas were refreshing and delicious. As for the food... ugh.. It was like a new manager came to town and made smaller portions and outrageous prices. My steak wasn't even cooked well enough.. it was bleeding left and right and was basically cold. I never really send stuff back but I did and when it came back it was an inedible piece of bark, so overcooked and so dry... it really ruined everything. The waitress was a doll and took my entree off the bill. Stick to the drinks, and maybe some dessert. I have to say they do have the best Apple Martini around Boston.

Greeley Avenue Bar & Grill

So, I guess it's not Yorgo's any more. I was desperately trying to find a place to watch a World Series game. My plan was to head, um, somewhere else, but this place was close to my bus transfer and my fellow Cubs fans had flaked that day. I decided to check it out and not only did they have the game on, WITH sound, but there were a whole lot of other Cubs fans in the place. However, it's not a sports bar. At least, it's not a bar to watch popular sports at. The first game I watched here was not super well attended and the two bartenders were having trouble keeping up. The second and third games were progressively busier and the lines at the bar got progressively longer. The kitchen spent a lot of time walking around trying to find where orders belonged, and getting pretty frustrated at it. Each visit had a different crew, so it's gotta be a systemic thing. There's a pool table and a patio with another TV in the back with a gravel deck and a porch in front. The back had heaters, I think the front did, too. Like I said the kitchen will run out orders and if the bartenders aren't too busy there's table service. Unfortunately they have a "zero tolerance policy". It's got some Portland bubble ideological stuff in it, but what really pissed me off was the second item that says that "Any physical contact - push, scuffle, fight" will result in both customers being ejected. 86'd in fact. So according to the house's written policy that "will be supported by all employees" if someone attacks you, you'll both get chucked into the street so you can continue being assaulted without inconveniencing the bar staff. This isn't tucked away in some corner so the bar's lawyers can talk about it, it's right by the door and the bar in a bright yellow framed sign. The bar staff here seem to be well intentioned, I've been here before fairly recently when it wasn't that busy (I recall it one of the GOP debates was on, as was the Miss Hooters pageant. I couldn't bring myself to watch either) and the guy working that day was super nice. On my third WS trip one of the bartenders came out to apologize for some b.s. that happened to a tablemate. They hand out comment cards with the check. But that policy, like the service and a lot of things here (are you supposed to criticize the server you hand the card back to?) just don't seem thought out that well. None of it makes me want to come back.

Flying Cat Coffee

📍 Address: 3041 SE Division St, Portland

Stopped by at the suggestion of my daughter. She said coffee was very good. She was right...and refills are 75¢. Delicious freshly made breakfast egg/cheese/sausage ciabatta. Mmmmm. Very laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Shady sidewalk seating and tables to hang with friends or just read a book. WiFi available to surf the Net or check up on Social Media. Apple Pay available...so convenient.

Tapa Tapa

📍 Address: 931 Monroe Dr, Ste C-106, Atlanta

Came here for the SATC pop-up. Unfortunately I found out that they no longer take the Atlanta Dining Out Passbook since they are now a full-time pop-up restaurant. It was still so fun, though. And the food and drinks were so good! I hope the future pop-ups can live up! They need to find a better marketing strategy because our waitress told us how they weren't getting a lot of business which we were all surprised by because it's such a unique concept.
