Such delicious sushi and seafood. Everything was fresh and beautifully crafted. Some dishes are so pretty you don't want to eat them! Wait staff is friendly, knowledgable and professional. I will definitely be back.

Remember that time you had the best breakfast ever? Yea, it was at Cafe Java. I'm convinced their hash browns cure cancer. Have easily been to this place 50+ times and they have not once underperformed. This stat blows my mind. The Eggs Benedict (Sunday special) once made me see Jesus. They do diner breakfast right - forget about those other lame diner options (looking at you austin diner/the frisco/omelettry). What I've learned: eating Cafe Java helps prevent terrorism.

I love this place. Many options when it comes to food. Very crowded and lines waiting to get food. Can be a little pricey but I would say it's worth it. Definitely go around and try the different desserts!

DELICIOUS brunch. They have enough veggie dishes so you don't leave feeling extremely bloated and greasy but enough comfort food to make you feel satisfied. Dinner is also excellent and the service is always extremely polite and attentive.

We arrived too late for Sunday brunch by a long shot but I'll count that as a blessing in disguise and a good excuse to come back. This was just one of those experiences where everything seemed to click into place in just the right way. The happy began when our server let us know appetizers were half price. I'm not the bargain-hunter sort but I gotta say, between the way that altered our ordering strategy and the $45 check for two, I just couldn't have asked for more... and less. We wound up sharing three appetizer plates, one entree and a dessert for a tapas-like meal that had a new flavor and a pleasant surprise at every turn. Bacon Wrapped Texas Quail: Tiny little drumsticks swathed in pork, with jalapeño and peach jam and micro greens. Looks and sounds fancy... tastes like comfort food. Blue Crab Gratin: With artichoke hearts. The crab's more of a team player than a rockstar on this one but the team is a winner. The delicate consistency of the gratin makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. BLT Sliders: Holy shit! These are just OVER THE TOP! Grilled pork belly, fried green tomato, house-made pimento cheese and micro greens make an amazing mouthful. With all of these flavors thrown together part of me wanted to deconstruct the slider and savor each ingredient, but I couldn't be bothered... I just let each bite be the loud, awesome party it was intended to be. Chicken Fried Beef Ribs: Our entree. Yes, we approached it with the proper morbid fascination for the over-the-top-ness of it all. I'm still kinda surprised I'd choose to eat chicken-fried ANYTHING, but I parked the cynicism, took a chance, and it was rewarded in spades. The flavors were all familiar and deftly executed. Seemingly against all odds, the dish succeeded, and succeeded big. Wowsers. Buttermilk Pie: The filling had a really nice lemon note and the fresh raspberry sauce went way beyond the call of duty. Perfect fresh pastry crust. Yep. Could I imagine a few of these dishes rendered with a little more subtlety and art? Perhaps. But I can far, far sooner imagine the check being double the $45 number without the food being one iota better. Five stars, yessir.

I live in Charlotte but am in the Chamblee area several times a year. This is a place I've driven by but never stopped. It is one of those things that I now kick myself for. Finally stopped and realize I should have a long time ago. The staff are very welcoming. I got a brief description of the food. Got the 3 piece dark. Comes with baked beans and cole slaw. I also added a small Mac and cheese. Glad I did. Everything was delicious! Finished off with a cold piece of chocolate pie. It is a franchise so if you see one, stop in. You won't regret it.
