We stopped in here for an afternoon snack after my friend recommended it. I'm still thinking about the Dirty Woo doughnuts we had! They were so small and cute - and amazingly delicious!!! Also - I love Chai tea and have never seen a place that offers so many different options! So good!! I just wish they would expand to the east coast :)

My husband and I have been trying new stands every weekend this summer and this place sits right in the middle of them all. Not my favorite but not the worst we have had. :) The sno is perfect! Not a lot of flavors to pick from...that's a bummer. Wasn't crazy about the flavor of the one I did get and it was basic. Banana. We saw online they offer pup cups so we brought our dog and bought him one. It was all sno with a lil whip cream on top. He LOVED it. :) I did try it again the following weekend, this time with my daughter and she didn't care for hers. We did pay it forward to the gentleman behind us and paid for his. That's always fun...we rushed to the car and left before he knew though! :)

Mother's is still delicious. I saw Sam Smith when he came to PDX and he ate at Mother's the morning before his show and recommended it to the entire audience.

I feel like if I would have ordered something else I would have enjoyed it. I got the Rachel sandwich and I've had better at Arby's. I wish we would've had the French toast or really anything else. The Knishes were pretty good. My waitress took a little while to bring us refills but she was nice. Overall I think if we went back I would have tried something different and would have gotten a better result. Definitely a place to go.
Buckeye Pho

This reminded me a little of Joy Yee's in Chicago with its modern decor and super efficient service. We ordered summer rolls, beef banh mi (a sandwich with French bread, grilled beef, and veggies like cucumber and carrots), and of course, pho. Summer rolls: Very good but I've also never had a bad summer roll. Beef banh mi: SO GOOD! Have you ever had subpar sandwich bread where it is either too chewy, too hard, or too substantial for the filling? The bread here was none of those things and should really be touted as what other breads should live up to. It was perfectly crisp without being hard and seemed fresh from the oven. The sweet, tangy marinade from the beef infused the mayo with wonderful flavor and the fresh, crisp vegetables gave it a delightful crunch. More please. Pho: Hubby was delighted that he had finally found a pho place in this area to offer meatball and tripe options. I'm not so picky about the meat because I'm really after the broth. Making pho broth, as I'm given to understand, is a time-consuming process requiring ample amounts of beef and various spices to create a wonderfully rich and complex end result. The broth here is good but didn't have the depth I was looking for. Service: Friendly, attentive, and prompt - doesn't get better! We'll definitely be back for more.
