The Picnic House

📍 Address: 723 SW Salmon St, Portland

Stars: (4)

Beautiful space with exceptional service and yummy food. Definitely make a reservation if you're planning on coming here after 6. This place would be a 5 Star if it offered a happy hour drink or food special. The Barlow Room next door is their excuse to not have one. I definitely recommend their bords and am a big fan of the Brie on the cheese bord. This time, I had the salmon poke and absolutely loved the citrus mixed with the fish and onion. Make sure to order a beverage with their stamped logo on the giant ice cube.

Shoal Creek Saloon

📍 Address: 909 N Lamar Blvd, Austin

Stars: (3.5)

Oh, Shoal Creek Saloon, how I love thee! GREAT Louisiana dive-bar atmosphere and they FINALLY got Abita on draft!!! Just a real laid-back, friendly place that you don't need to get all dressed-up for. The food is wonderful too. Before I went vegetarian, I used to LOVE their crawfish boils in the winter. Probably the best boiled crawfish I've had in Texas, and reasonably priced too. Lately, the raw oysters have been great and priced great too! Large fresh succulent oysters with a cold Abita Amber draft...doesn't get much better Their fried oysters and hush puppies are wonderful too.

Tasty n Sons

📍 Address: 3808 N Williams Ave, Ste C, Hub Building, Portland

Stars: (4.5)

The food was amazing and the staff was very polite. I left my bus pass at the table and one of the waiters ran a block to catch us and return it. They serve family style and the portion sizes are good. We were there with another couple and ordered 2 smaller plates (appetizers), 2 sides, and 3 entrees. This was plenty of food and didn't leave us over stuffed. There was a mixup in the kitchen and our small plates didn't come till the end. Without even saying anything, they were both complimentary.

Love this place. It's pricey but really good. It's fun to go with a few people to share a bunch of different types of food.

Panera Bread

📍 Address: 401 Park Dr, Boston

Stars: (3.5)

I come here a lot and am always pretty satisfied. They have a lot to choose from so this is always a good choice for lunch for everyone. There salads and soups are always yummy and it is great that you can combine them so that you can get soup and salad for lunch. Tip: Come on off hours so its not so crowded if you want to sit for a while to study
