For the location, I was expecting a really cool establishment. Really long lines, slow service, mediocre pre made food. There's definitely better places around. I would rather go to jack in the box across the street.

I loved this place, it's atmosphere and people so much... I bought a t-shirt for my husband. He wore it this past weekend (after a week we left Austin) and I wanted to cry. I miss Austin and it's awesome coffeehouse, also awesomely known as Austin Java so damn much! I had the Turtle Delight frappé and it had just the right amount of 'Oomph' to keep me awake for a while on our drive home to Dallas. Ok, so I napped for 25 minutes, but it would've been a longer nap had I not had their drink. I think my husband would thank them for keeping his co-pilot awake, sorta. Austin Java, when we become permanent Austin residents, you will see this face every day and I know you will always welcome me with open arms and caffeine. Thank you :)

What a fantastic tiki bar. It has all the right ingredients: a great atmosphere, fantastic drinks, and a lovely staff. As you enter, you cross over a footbridge and a water feature. Every hour or so, thunder sounds, and rain falls into the small ponds on each side of the bridge. Every now and again, fog and mist fills the room. The drinks are excellent... lots of Trader Vic and Don the Beachcomber classics. This is one of the premiere tiki bars in the country, really. But even if you aren't a tiki fan already, you can expect outstanding drinks, great service, and tasty snacks. A must-visit for rum fans and tiki fans, and one of the best bars I have ever traveled to.

This past weekend my mom and grandmother came to visit and I took them to Dan's for breakfast after reading about the breakfast hype. Our experience definitely lived up. The pancakes are excellent as was the biscuits and gravy, yummy bacon and friendly service. It was packed with people for good reason. We'll definitely be back.

I have been a regular here for over a year. The staff is friendly and get to know their neighborhood customers by name. The service is quick and correct, and really take feedback well. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relatively inexpensive tapas experience!
Edamame Sushi & Grill

The sushi here was OK. This probably isn't the place for sushi fanatics like me but would be great for anyone who wants a variety of asian foods. Their menu had a mixed selection of Japanese foods (including sushi) and Korean foods. The restaurant décor was very modern and green. It reminded me of a café that I would have seen in the city of Taipei or Tokyo. I went there specifically for sushi and was kind of disappointed in the selection and the taste for that matter. I also thought they were a little pricey. The server was cute but it would have hurt him to smile either. Overall, this place was just eh..and I probably won't go back.
