Been here many times, always go home happy! The fish is simply fabulous- I mean I've been to top sushi places all over North America, and this is as good as it comes. The pieces are large too. It is only a little pricier than many other sushi places in town, but way better! Also, my son likes the mango ice cream. The service can be iffy, but the fish is fantastic.

Went for dinner with colleagues from work after working at BCEC. Delicious food and pleasant wait staff. I enjoyed Wedge salad and Lobster pie. Ridiculously huge wedge salad but yummy. Lobster pie was yummy too. One of my colleagues enjoy Lobster roll. Noise level very high and I found it annoying but wouldn't stop me from returning.

We love love love this place. We went a few days ago with our toddler for the first time and it went great. The server was definitely a kid person which made us feel much better. Baby girl enjoyed her noodles and was on her best behavior. The restaurant is pretty small so make sure to get reservations for peak hours.

So my girlfriends and I went out for a night on the town for a going-away get-together for a friend. We were staying at a house a couple blocks down from Main & King Ed, but the flatbread place and a couple other restaurants were already full as it was a friday night. We were starving, so we settled on The Main. From the get go, I should've known we were in for a crappy experience. Five of us girls stood at the entrance, waiting for someone to seat us. Three different servers walked past us, staring at us, no smiles, no hello, no approach. Finally we got the attention of one of the girls and requested a table. After the food came, our server didn't bother to come check on us again, so I had to get up and walk to the bar to get more drinks. The food wasn't all bad.. The calamari was pretty good, not overcooked or chewy, and it came with a decent tzatziki sauce. The potatoes were decent too, really nice and lemony, but the rice was mushy and bland. At the end of the night as I attempted to pay my bill, the server did something so offensive I could hardly believe it. As I was entering her tip on the debit machine, the 15% option was less than I had intended to give, as I myself am a server too. When I went to cancel it and re-enter the transaction, the server leaned over and yanked the machine out of my hands, without saying anything to me, literally YANKED it out of my hands. I was in shock and just sat there with my hands still in the same position in the air, and said, "wow that was rude." the server ignored me and thus got a 12% tip instead. I cannot even believe that someone would be so damn rude in the service industry. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

I happened to go here twice in a month which I don't usually do so i feel like I gotta write a review about my experiences. 1st visit: Fried Chicken: Was okay, it was strange there was a big gap in between the coating and the actual chicken which made it pretty hard to eat Fried Okra: DELICIOUS nothing else to say Sides: The meal trays come with sides, I got mac and cheese and cold slaw both very good! 2nd visit: 1/2 Chicken: BBQ chicken, soooooo SALTY, I couldn't believe it, neither my mother or I could eat more than a few bites. Fried Okra: YUM again Sides: Broccoli casserole was okay. FARM FRESH SALAD was amazing!!!!! Best thing of the night. Will definitely be going back but maybe I'll leave out the meat and just go for the amazing starters and sides. *Also try a biscuit with honey butter yum!
