Food was delish as usual, kitchen was a little slow but the service provided by Marcial made up for it, he was ah-mazing, he's personable and attentive, you should ask for him when you go to this location, you won't be disappointed.

I bought 4 slices yesterday (Tuesday, their buy-one-get-one-half-off day) for a tasting and was disappointed. I bought carrot, lemon, caramel, and coconut cakes. All but the coconut were unpleasantly dry. The flavor was good, but the texture was dry enough that neither I nor the others tasters could enjoy, and between 4 of us, the only slice with more than a few bites missing was the coconut cake. Maybe it's because these were pre-cut slices and they'd just been sitting out too long, but I'll be placing my order for a full cake from another bakery. Disappointing.

Small hardworking little place. My chicken enchiladas were very tasty and flavorful, also good portion size. The band made for a fun Saturday night dinner and it was a great atmosphere. Some drawbacks: the house margarita was way too sweet and hardly tasted like alcohol (not worth even ordering), salsa had a ton of onions and very watery. Also, the booth/table was sticky. But I'll give this place another try!

The people here were kind and understanding. I changed my mind about what I wanted at the last minute and they were understanding and switched the order. A great place with good service and food.

Delicious chiles rellenos plate. They were out of beans, so they subbed a tasty salad. I was quite happy with that. The rice was really good, perhaps a little moist (implying lots of butter). The salsas were good. Not standout, but definitely very good, and they didn't overpower the relleno. The relleno was flavorful, cheesy with a nice batter, and had a robust flavor of ancho pepper. The corn tortillas were delicious and are handmade. Thick and flavorful. I'll be back for some tacos. They really should advertise the tortillas on the window. I didn't try the horchata. Sorry. I think my complaint is that the pollo asado (I asked rather than ordered, so something may have been lost in translation) doesn't come with vegetables. They obviously have vegetables, the relleno had a delicious pepper and onion sauce with it, why not grill the chicken up with some peppers and onions? Anyways, this spot is definitely worth checking out and could easily be upgraded to a five-star on subsequent visits.

the atmosphere is radical and huge-literally a Bank Vault-turned hang-out! cool music, community fliers, and art, different nooks for sitting, and the patio rules. misprinted Neil Gamon comics, board games, bar stools. no couches? did I mention there is a giant bank vault where you can go inside and chill with your friends? is it safe in there? great Chai. fyi decaf is a special order. not impressed by the food, and let me preface it by saying I eat most things, am not a picky eater, and also somehow reason eating a $6 sandwich fairly regularly. sorry, Bloc 11-my order was a gross gourmet mess. the thick layer of goat cheese and fig, and lord knows what else trendy sauce, ruined my turkey sandwitch. i like all these things, but together it tasted like nutritional, expensive throw-up. the amount of coleslaw was pitiful. the vegan soup tasted like the reason people make fun of vegans. the bread was also boring. lemon bar was dry and weird. it's confusing how your food comes up and where silverware and stuff is. i think the tattooed staff forgets you sometimes. but no one bothered me for literally sleeping on the lawn near the patio setups because i was so tired. so, that was cool! patio is key! I got to people- watch before Fluff Fest and see how truely interesting Somervillians are with their hip mamas, Sikhs, Brazilians, and other happening people with their infinitely smart T-shirts-
