Pine State Biscuits

📍 Address: 2204 NE Alberta St, Portland

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Oh Boy!! Get ready for some serious GOODNES!! I am not much of a biscuit eater (my family loves 'em), but these "sandwiches" are too die for...My personal favorite is The Wedgie: fried chicken, blue cheese dressing, fried green tomato and ice berg lettuce on a biscuit - Heyyyy, get your own!! My husband swears by their sausage gravy, it is a little thinner than regular but the suasage chunks are nice and small and it is easy to sop up with a biscuit - DEE-LICIOUS. My brother had something with sausage, cheese, fried chicken and some gravy on it - Maybe The Reggie?? Anyway, he was in hog heaven. We travel from SW Beaverton to get our "biscuit on" at this charming spot and I will always come back for the great food and terrific service.

Portland City Grill

📍 Address: 111 SW 5th Ave, Fl 30, Portland

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4)

5 stars - The 30th floor space offers up amazing 360 views of all of Portland (and beyond). This is definitely a place any out-of-towner positively MUST check out. 4 stars - Happy Hour food specials. Where else in town can you get a hefty sized while cheddar good quality burger for 5 bucks, accompanied by fabulously seasoned shoe-string garlic-parmesan fries for a measly 2 bucks? 4 stars - Creative appetizers. People were jealous when they saw my Papaya, Cucumber and Avocado stack ($3 HH) arrive. More than just a beautiful work of art, it was oh so refreshing and delicious. Ditto on the New Orleans spicy shrimp ($5 HH), basted in a Worcestershire and black pepper sauce. 3 stars - Service. They try. But there are not enough servers for such a popular happy hour. 3 stars - Martinis. There are some creative and interesting martinis on the menu to be sure, such as the one garnished with a slice of pepperoni and three blue cheese olives ($12.50). My pomegranate martini ($10) was good. Yes they are on the pricey side but they come with the view, so buck up, look outside and it will all feel better. 2 stars - Diet Coke. Three dollars for a 10 oz. Diet Coke that's half ice?! I know what I said just above, but come on...

Wegmans

📍 Address: 53 Third Ave, Burlington

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4)

It visited this place when it first opened last Sunday and then again a few days ago. Traffic was obviously heavy on the first day but I was easily able to find parking within the garage on my second visit. In a word, this place is incredible and I hope that they are able to keep it that way. I had previously gotten a Wegman's card a few years back and my first interaction with this Wegman was speaking with the worker at the card kiosk at the front of the store. She helped me checked that my card was still active and I was pleasantly surprised that she helped my put in an order for those small key cards as I had never gotten those years back. Walking around the store, we saw that this place was huge and that the food court could be a place of its own with all the cooked food options and the ample seating areas. On the other side of the store was the alcohol section. Even though I've never brought a bottle of alcohol before, I was tempted to try buying some due to their vast selections. In particular, the bottle shaped like a crystal skull was particularly interesting. The meat section is decent and the first time I've encountered vacuum packed raw pork / beef in this state. I've seen other Wegman stores have vacuum sealed chicken but I haven't found it yet here. The produce section could be better. Even though they have a very diverse selection and they were fresh, their prices seem higher. For example, the conventional apples are much more expensive here than at Market Basket. Still, there were some produce items that I've never seen before such as the lobster mushroom that peaked our interest. I'm loving their seafood section so far. On our second visit, we were dazzled by the butcher cutting up a swordfish such that we brought a package ourselves. In summary, we are quite impressed with this store so far and will definitely try to return this weekend to either shop or eat at the food court. I think the only thing that could stop us is traffic / parking.

Java Station

📍 Address: 12505 NW Cornell Rd, Portland

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Friendly staff, great prices, cozy atmosphere and comfy seats! I like that they are open 7 days week. I had a large ice tea and it tasted great not too strong and not too weak it was just right. No pressure from the staff either, very relaxed environment great place to study or sit and relax

Tommy Want Wingy

📍 Address: 94 Rainey St, Austin

⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)

Dude. If you don't want to make more wings, say no. Don't serve me the hottest possible buffalo sauce to be a jerk. I held out all day because I wanted some wings, and now I'm sitting in a hotel room, hungry. It was 20 minutes before closing, and you assured me it was ok to order. Obviously not. Over spicing is not cool. It was deliberate. Get another job if you don't want to work until midnight.
