I might go 4.5 stars if I had the options. Our waitress was amazing in every way you can imagine. The food was great. It's all served tapas/sharing style. You have a small plate but get to taste everything. I promise you will fill up and really enjoy the experience:) Some items like the hush puppies, the artichokes, the salmon, Saigon green beans, and Indonesian Short Rib Stew "Rendang" are off the hook, mouth watering yummness! Other items like the dumplings, Farro Risotto with sous vide vegetables, and the mixed greens are really good. At another restaurant they'd be star items, here, there is so much to compete with. I wish I could try everything on this menu!!! I had to cut a star for a couple of reasons. For the first hour, the music was pretty loud and we had to yell over it to talk. They leave windows and doors open pretty late and it was 58 degrees out... a little chili. When we were done eating and paying the host came and took the tea away we were drinking and he fained an interested in giving it back because we were disappointed, but he really just wanted to get us out the door. We were all at separate hotels, it was cold out and we were just finished and we wanted to speak a few minutes now that the music wasn't so loud and our mouths weren't full. Then he got more passive aggressive when other people came in, pointing at our table and saying they could have it when we left and making sure we could see him. We got the hint and got out. Mostly because we didn't want anyone else to have to wait for the great food:) Would I go back? As fast as I could get there!!!
De Dutch

We'd never eaten at a De Dutch Pannekoek House before, but had a very pleasant experience at the restaurant on Robson Street. We'd stayed at the Hotel Le Soleil the night before, and wanted to hike around town to see the place. The front desk at the hotel recommended Robson Street, so while on our morning hike, we came upon the De Dutch restaurant. The restaurant isn't big, so you're necessarily sitting pretty close to others, but the seating is comfortable, and the service is good and prompt. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

I went here for a birthday and for restaurant week. Both times we had wonderful service. I had the Paella Barcelona and Fideos con Costillas y Vieiras. The paella was a little dry for me but the angle hair pasta was rich and savory. My friend got the special pork shank with risotto and it was delicious. The most memorable appetizer was raw tuna & aioli sauce. The mussels were not too shabby.
The Villa Restaurant
📍 Address: 124 E Plain St, Wayland
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)
The Villa brings back memories of the neighborhood restaurants we knew and loved decades ago. Good food, great service, great prices. Proof is that the parking lot is packed whether for lunch or dinner. The food is basic Italian and consistently good. Their homemade salad dressing is exceptional. The email discounts are great to receive and cleverly written. We go at least a couple times a month - either eat in or take out! Molto buono!

We came here on recommendations. We missed the happy hour but made reservations for a window seat. Truly fantastic!! The view of the city is without comparison. The food and service are both fantastic. Wine selection is extensive. I had the lamb and it was fabulous. Warning on portion size. We ordered the calamari and, although it was fantastic, it was enough to fill 2 people. No problem; we took it home and enjoyed it the next day. This is definitely a place to show visitors to Portland. It is not cheap but the service, food, and view of the city make this a true gem. We will try to make the Happy Hour which has raves of inexpensive food and great drinks. We'll be back.
