Pepino's Mexican Grill - Portland

📍 Address: 3832 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland

Stars: (3.5)

They will treat you poorly if they mess up your order and you ask for it to be remade. Also either they were running low on rice and beans or their new standard is about 10 beans per burrito. All around I just had a pretty terrible experience and the quality was less than adequate. I wish I would have requested my money back instead of another burrito.

Neptune Oyster

📍 Address: 63 Salem St, Boston

Stars: (4.5)

Waited over 90 minutes to be seated (put name on list at 730 pm, was seated about 915 pm). Place is extremely small. Oysters on half shell were a disappointment (very salty - and I mean very). Crab claw was very small and disappointing for a $5 appetizer. Shrimp cocktail is very solid. Thought the evening was a bust until....the lobster roll and fries arrived. The lobster roll was awesome and totally made me forget the long wait and salty oysters.....do yourself a favor and get the lobster roll.......it is money.

Delicious mozzarella sticks and cheese fries. Bowling alley is also cute and a great time.

American Craft

📍 Address: 1700 Beacon St, Brookline

I really dug this place-- it had a great ambiance (dark, upscale pub) and is a thousand times better than the Roadhouse BBQ place that the Public House gang had here before. The good, the bad & the ugly--I'm a vegetarian, so I have to say there weren't all that many veggie options (and... seriously, were were the dessert options on the menu????) but the veggie burger was simply put one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had... and as a plus, it was one of the cheapest things on the menu! (Around $13 after I added some of their optional add-on toppings like blue cheese, mmmm).... and it came with fries, and the fries were pretty delicious and there were so many I couldn't even eat them all! We had a large group, they were able to take reservations for us (but only indoors), the beer menu was the regular amazing public house options, our waiter was nice, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. I liked it SO much that when it went on groupon a few days later, I bought the max amount of coupons for this place that I could! I will def be coming back. Minus one star for the desserts that were either hiding or missing, no group reservations on the porch and the fact that one of the 18 people in our party had a stomachache after, but since we had such a huge group and he was the only one that felt sick, I think it was likely something else he ate elsewhere.

Blue Danube

📍 Address: 2439 N High St, Columbus

Stars: (3.5)

It's a Dive bar. No, it's a diner. No, it's The Dube! I think I spent about 10% of my undergraduate career at the dube. It's a Columbus institution with tons of menu items to cure any hangover. Great music on the jukebox. Lots of character that only a Buckeye could love.

Revolution Doughnuts

📍 Address: 908 W College Ave, Decatur

Delicious. Triple D tour. Top 10 of all time. Loved the almond milk hot chocolate too. Worth the wait in line. Plenty of parking. So glad we drove 30 minutes to go there. Yummy donuts and a great variety to choose from.
