Unfortunately, all these other reviews are right. The location is great and most of the employees I interacted with were super friendly and did what they could to be helpful. However, you just can't overcome a bad facility. - Broken elevators: yup - Busted AC in the conference room: yup - Broken TV: yup - changed rooms and the second room was nastier than the first: yup - and so on This place is just in need of some serious TLC and upgrading. Is it a rat Infested hole in the wall? No. However, for a destination like Boulder for vacations or conferences, this is definitely a 'no go' for me and my family. I really tried not to be a snob and be picky about things like the burnt out light bulbs, or the toilet not working well, or the clock not even having a plug to plug it in, or the sad little gym, or... unfortunately, all these little things just add up. They add up in the wrong way. I just can't recommend staying here until serious upgrades and repairs happen.
Crawfish Shack & Oyster Bar

Horrible service. Horrible everything. No alcohol, they let the license run out. Multiple people getting up and leaving because you aren't served once you're seated. Workers talking about how gross the floor is in the kitchen (that's appetizing). If you are lucky enough to get served, you may never get the check because they are so slow. Obviously don't believe in AC either. No one else is here is impressed. Horrible - never coming back.
Buckeye Pho

I'll preface this by saying, this is the first time I've ever had pho despite being a foodie because I'm not a huge fan of savory foods having hints of sweetness. I've had many, many different variations of beef broth/noodles from all over Asia, but I have no basis of comparison for pho from other places. That being said, this was a great bowl of noodles + broth. The signature pho contains beef meatballs, beef tendon, tripe, and thinly sliced beef, all of which are delicious. I added all the toppings, including jalapenos and plenty of sriracha. The large size had a deceptively huge amount of food. The noodles and meat felt kind of never-ending, and while I ate everything, I have to confess I could not finish the broth because it was so much food. I went during fairly busy hours, and the service was still pretty fast. Staff are very friendly, and there's plenty of seating inside and at the bar. This is a good place to go if you're alone, but also pretty good for small groups because you can also share dishes.
Lamberts Downtown Barbecue
📍 Address: 401 W 2nd St, Austin

We had our rehearsal dinner at Lambert's in Oct. 2018 and we could not have been more pleased! We rented out the whole upstairs space and it was the perfect size for the ~50 people we had in attendance. Fallon, our coordinator, did an excellent job of communicating with us leading up to the event. We wanted to show a video and they were kind enough to supply a screen and supporting AV throughout the night (including a mic for speeches). The pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent! All of our guests were very impressed, which is saying a lot because we had several BBQ lovers from Kansas City who don't hand out praise lightly. They staffed the event well so no one was ever waiting on a drink or standing in line for food. Overall, we could not have been happier with our rehearsal dinner experience at Lambert's!

Very good. Good atmosphere. I liked it very much. The food was excellent. My waitress was great. Very friendly and attentive. In spite of having several tables she made each of feel like were her only customers.
Mike's Pastry
📍 Address: 300 Hanover St, Boston

I'm not sure what the hype is for Mike's Pastry. All day walking around Boston, I witnessed people toting around their neatly tied Mike's Pastry boxes. People raved about going to Mike's, so I had to add it to my agenda. We stopped by after dinner, and bought about 5 cannoli's after waiting in the line out the door, and the packed store. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but VERY underwhelming. What in the world...people were waiting in line for expensive cannoli's...for this?? I took a bite out of all the ones we got, and the best was the espresso and pistachio in my opinion. Maybe I just don't know cannoli's, but I would not come back again. Ever. Not worth, huge tourist trap. tldr; tourist trap. avoid!
