Prestons Restaurant + Lounge Vancouver

📍 Address: 1177 W Pender Street, Vancouver

This is unfortunately a restaurant I wouldn't consider returning to. Overpriced, average tasting. Too bad.

Blue Dragon

📍 Address: 324 A St, Boston

Stars: (3.5)

My BLT banh mi with pate was one of the best lunches (especially at that price) I could have asked for. Ming Tsai is a genius. The A Street Diner was a classic but Blue Dragon rocks!

Yanagi

📍 Address: 4404 W William Cannon Dr, Ste B, Austin

I'm totally sorry that I chose to dine at Yanagi this evening for my birthday. My 13 year old son and I wanted something in our neighborhood that would be relatively fast and healthy. The food here is good, but definitely not top notch- but I knew that going in, and that's ok. We went in for happy hour, which is from 4:00 to 6:00pm. We arrived at 5:34pm, and we were seated promptly. Our waitress took our initial order at around 5:45pm. She announced at 5:50pm that it was last call. At that moment, we didn't order. At 5:55pm, my son wanted to order another Las Vegas roll. We ordered it immediately after our waitress took the order from the table across from us. They too, had ordered off the Happy Hour menu. At that time I believed that we would be getting the happy hour price (which is $3 less than normal price) as it was still five min to 6pm. When I got the check, they charged me full price for the LV roll. I asked my waitress to make an adjustment, she initially refused. I then requested that she ask her manager and she did- Only to get the response of "NO." I brought up the point of telling them that I ordered it before 6pm, they said that it didn't matter, that there was no way for them to override the price. When I asked why they honored the other patrons order, at that specific time, she stated that it was the hostess's fault for giving them that happy hour menu, therefore she had to offer the deal. So much for customer service. I can't believe that they were willing to loose me, or any customer at that, for $3! Going forward, I'll take my business elsewhere. The worst $47 dining experience of my life.

Antonis Restaurant Diner

📍 Address: 10765 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton

This place should be on Restaurant Impossible. Cold breeze coming from crack around window. Food just not good. The scallions put on top of my chicken were dry and old. Didn't eat my food.

Mother’s Bistro & Bar

📍 Address: 121 SW 3rd Ave, Portland

Delicious. We got here and didnt have to wait. Which was amaazzzzing!!! The decor was pretty beautiful. I felt like I was in London ready to have some fancy tea. Haha For the food, I got the biscuits and gravey with 2 poached eggs.. it was really good. I must say it was probably the best biscuits and gravey ive ever had. I think it went well with the poached eggs. Usually people poached eggs are under cooked but this place made mine with perfection. Kudos to the cooks. We also got the migs omelette and 3 sausages. The sausage was really good. It want fatty like I usually expect. It tasted great and healthy!!! I didnt pay much attention to the migs omelette. I let my boy eat it. Haha but I gave him one of my biscuits with gravey. The service was great!! Our server was acctually pretty friendly. The seats were a little too close for my taste but it was okay because our neighbors were really nice. The hostess were really welcoming and very professional.. I cant wait to come back here again.
