Fritkot

📍 Address: 5205 SE Foster, Portland

Stars: (4.5)

As my daughter said so well "these are the best fries I've had outside of Belgium and Holland!" We had the Fritkot sauce and the Belgian mayo to dip our crispy, delicious fries in. Next time we will try their beef stew over fries, the patron after us ordered that and it looked mouthwateringly delicious!

Christopher's Restaurant

So happy my husband and I finally went out for breakfast here. We didn't call ahead, but it was pretty quick for us - maybe a 20 min wait. Got seated and had the friendliest waitress who was really accommodating. Now for the foooddd - so so good!!! I got the spinach and feta omelette and added bacon and it was perfect. The right size, really tasty potatoes. We also asked if we could buy one pancake to split and they were happy to do that for us! My husband got the southwest omelette and he was also very happy with it. Great coffee and excellent prices. We will definitely be back here as soon as possible.

Cantina La Mexicana

This is a review of the Dia de los Muertos fiesta. The food was absolutely yummy as well as being authentic. Best tamales I've ever eaten! The buffet was very reasonably priced. Excellent entertainment and activities, too, from a make-your-own Dia de los Muertos altar to a mariachi band. Gracious owners, welcoming and professional staff. They're doing it all again next year, and if you can't wait that long come to the Cinco de Mayo celebration.

Seriously the best brawt I've ever had! The homemade bread makes it that much more enjoyable. The beer cheese and homemade pretzel are also top notch. I love the beer selection as well! I have not a single complaint.

Salt & Straw

📍 Address: 2035 NE Alberta St, Portland

Such unique flavors but definitely overhyped! I was in the area for breakfast and decided to grab ice cream because for once there was no line!! I ran over, and was at awe at the amount of flavors they had. They have a number of seasonal rotating flavors and then 15 or so classic flavors. My fiancé ended up getting the Hopricot Cider and Oregon Honey Rocky Road. He didn't care for the Hopricot Cider one, but I found it pretty refreshing, especially for the humid weekend Portland was having. The Oregon Honey Rocky Road had to be the best flavor of the bunch! So interesting in texture of the honeycomb, chocolate and marshmallows. I got the bone marrow & roasted cherries, and coava coffee ice cream. The bone marrow one was so unique and unlike anything I've had before, so I knew I had to get it. I absolutely loved the smokey Beef marrow flavor and sweetness of the cherries. The coava coffee one was great as well. A great first experience at Salt & Straw! This isn't my go to spot, but It's worth a try.

Mr Everything Cafe

📍 Address: 899 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Atlanta

Great spot for a good sized portion of food. Reminded me of a spot I'd find back in Brooklyn. The food is everyday grub cooked VERY WELL. I had the salmon plate and my wife had the chicken plate. Grilled meat, yellow rice, veggies, topped with cheese. Sounds simple, tastes amazing and the prices are great. Legit neighborhood spot.
