I'm currently sitting on the floor of my AirBNB trying to finish an order of basmati rice and two curries. I ordered delivery and everything came to me piping hot in servings much larger than I was expecting. Their basmati rice is pretty standard, so nothing too special there. The chicken vindaloo was very tasty, and the meat was very tender. I'm typically not a big fan of chicken but I actually liked this dish. My second order was the lamb curry and it was kind of disappointing. The lamb was tough and the sauce was flavorless and oily. I don't think this place is particularly amazing, I've had plenty of better Indian food (for less money) but I won't completely knock it since I haven't eaten inside the establishment.

We had one of the best meals- ever- here last week! We came in for brunch and sat at the bar, and everything was superb. The bartender who took care of us was SO nice, and the drinks were delicious. He steered us in the right direction, and I got the turkish egg and latkes, and my husband got the everything bagel. The turkish egg was one of the most delicious things I have ever had; it was so unique! My husband was feeling extra hungry, so we ordered the homemade samoas for dessert, and the bartender through in some free coffee ice cream! I would come to Launderette for the coffee ice cream alone, it was that good. This place is amazing in all ways; we had such a great experience overall!

First time trying this place and it was great. I love the ambience, and the decor. Really nice spot for a date night, girls night out, or a celebration dinner. The only two things I didn't care for was the seating, and they don't burn the heat! It was freezing in there. I was on a date with my husband and I'm so glad I wore a sweater instead of a dress. I never took my winter coat or hat off. Everyone in the restaurant was fully clothed in their winter coats. The seating is entirely too close. The patrons next to us were listening to our conversation and just joined in with us. It didn't bother me but if this was a intimate personal dinner it might have. Other than that the food is amazing. The portions are huuuugggeee! It took me two days to eat my meal. For my appetizer I ordered the calamari which is big enough to be a meal by itself. By the time my meal came out I ordered a to go box. I had the brisket (yummmy!) with their Mac and cheese. Customer service was great. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was great with explaining the menu and making recommendations. We will be back (when it warms up outside)!

This place it the best. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Took my fiance and we enjoyed. The only down side is the wait.
Voodoo Doughnut - Old Town
📍 Address: 22 SW 3rd Ave, Portland

What can I say - Voodoo donuts are good - and worth a visit while you are in Porltand. Are they the best thing I've had, not really - but a good option nonetheless. The Bacon Maple Bar, Dirt & Old Dirty Bastard are all good to try - sweet as hell - but definitely worthy taste testers (Tip: I'd split a nut with a friend - as they might be a little too much to handle all at once) The signature voodoo donut man complete with a pretzel needle stabbed to the heart is freakin awesome! I'd make a pit stop to stumptown down the street for a nice cup of Joe to complete your experience. The one thing i do wish for is some freshly baked (hot donuts..) I wish they had some of this -- most of their options have a ton of frosting and toppings that you can't really have it hot out of the oven) Either way, Voodoo has such a Portland vibe that you HAVE to come here when you are in town...
