Nice Staff, nice welcome when you come in. I am a bratwurst - sausage fan and I had to check this out. I tried the signature Jackalope custom-made antelope, rabbit & pork sausage, huckleberry compote, sriracha aioli, cheddar. It was good, the sauce complimented the sausage well. I also got a side of waffle cut fries (we called them cris-cut on the west coast). I ordered the horseradish and BBQ Dr Pepper BBQ sauce. The DP BBQ sauce was too sweet, but it was worth a try. Price point was decent and the portions were great. Next time I probably will go with something a little more traditional, but glad I tried the Jackalope.

Horrible service...first and last time at Scales 925. When the restaurant is considered "upscale" that should embody the entire experience. Scales 925 does not provide upscale service. In fact, there was a lack of staff to service the tables, and it was NOT busy. The drinks were in very small glasses, and were watered down. Also, the parking garage does not acknowledge any validations from the restaurant. So, although you are told by the restaurant the parking ticket has been validated, it really is NOT. Horrible experience.
Ganko Ittetsu Ramen

My favorite ramen spot in Brookline, MA. There is ample parking in the back of the building, a huge plus. Wait time varies but you can wait for your table in a comfortable in-door waiting area with bench seating away from the elements; wind, rain, snow, cold New England weather. I recommend the gankara miso (spicy miso) for those who want a spicy kick. For those who want a rich, thick and nutty broth, I recommend the tan tan (sesame broth). For those who want a lighter broth, I recommend the shio. All broths are unique. The noodles are consistently al Dante, slightly firm and chewy. Take your time and try the different broths to find the one you like best. There are add-ones for an addition cost. You can ask for extra noodle, minced pork, mushrooms and so on. I don't recommend the cucumber appetizer since the don't use the small cukes but instead the larger cucumbers therefore the cucumber skin is too thick and of course not crispy. Occasionally there are pop-up events where ramen chefs from Japan would fly in and take over the kitchen for days at a time. Definitely follow the restaurant on their Facebook page to get news of when these events happen. See my pictures.

Nothing great about these donuts. Don't recommend and wouldn't go again. They're not bad, there's just so many other better donut places in Portland why go get mediocre ones? Go to Pips! Or Blue Star.

Wow where to start. I have done lunch and brunch here. Both times food and service ( and atmosphere) was great. For lunch I had the Jackalope. Was somewhat intimidated as my typical dog has been pork or beef, venturing into game meat was a first for me. Also the combo of huckleberry and srirachi. But damn it was sooooooo good. Also had the waffle fries with buffaloblue dipping sauce ( heaven). Did brunch last week. I had planned on doing the sausage flight but 3 of the 4 were spicy and the 4th was described as being like a cheeseburger. Not what I was in the mood for. So I opted for the Franktastic Four - poached eggs, jackalope sausage, toast, elvis bieroock ( wow!). My friend had the slapsticks - can I say some of the best pancakes I've had lately. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
