Voodoo Doughnut - Old Town

I don't think I'm in their demographic. The flavors are not constructed well. The doughnut dough is very average and the wait is unwarranted. But everyday you see sun tanned people carrying pink voodoo boxes all around town, so someone likes them.
Blue Dahlia Bistro
📍 Address: 1115 E 11th St, Austin
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4)
The tartines were excellent. They are presented as wedges like an open-faced sandwich. These wedges are placed on a natural flat stone. We had to wait quite awhile to be seated even though there seemed to be many open seats. Our group was of six and perhaps that was the reason. We were seated at a long communal table. This place feels like a old French cafe. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I believe they take reservations and I would definitely call ahead next time if I come with a group.
Lambert's Rainbow Market
📍 Address: 777 Morrissey Blvd, Dorchester
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)
True, Lamberts is not the largest store, nor does it carry the widest selection. But the items it does carry are fantastic. Where else can you get red peppers, fresh basil, yukon gold potatoes, zucchini, green beans, and sweet potatoes for $10? Their meat and seafood selection is fantastic - fresh swordfish for $5.99 a pound! Shrimp at $5.99 a pound! Ground beef for $1.99 a pound! I try to go to Lamberts every friday for fresh food and grilling. I recommend it highly to anyone wo wants good, cheap food in Dorchester.
Union Oyster House
📍 Address: 41 Union St, Boston
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐ (3.5)
A lot of history for this place. The oldest restaurant in the USA. Union Street was laid out in 1636, but there are no municipal records documenting the Oyster House's date of construction. All that is known is that the building has stood on Union Street as a major local landmark for more than 250 years. The chowder was excellent but I can't compare it to the others. The price is on the expensive side but worth the visit.
Cluck-N-Burger
📍 Address: 10700 Manchacca Rd, Austin
⭐ Stars:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5)
We used Cluck-N-Burger's catering for my husband's 40th birthday party. I can't say enough good things about the food and the service! Aaron and his team served up delicious sliders, fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and bacon wrapped jalapeños that packed a punch! Everything was so tasty and we got nothing but rave reviews from all of our guests. I highly recommend them for catering or just a great lunch when you're grabbing a beer at Oskar Blues!
