Lily's Sandwich

📍 Address: 10901 N Lamar Blvd, Austin

Stars: (3.5)

Whenever I crave for Vietnamese banh hoi, I go here! Beware, they ONLY take cash! Their banh cuon thit nuong was bland, but I really enjoyed their banh hoi shrimp! Banh Hoi are bundles of vermicelli noodles woven together and they had it with shrimp paste wrap around sugar canes. I got this to go and was surprised at everything that came with it. They placed about 10 spring roll papers, a variety of vegetables, and about 4 of the shrimp paste on the sugar canes. Delicious and the whole make your own spring roll kit with the to-go order was nice!

MOD Pizza

📍 Address: 12091 SE Sunnyside Rd, Happy Valley

Have gotten pizza here several times and it is generally decent depending who is working. Today I got a pizza and it was cold in the middle. And I had ordered it "extra crispy". I went back and talked to them and they didn't seem to care. I spoke to two different employees and they didn't do anything about it. I'm not in any rush to go back there again.

Alden & Harlow

📍 Address: 40 Brattle St, Cambridge

Stopped by here tonight with friends and was absolutely blown away. I think I've found a new favorite restaurant in Boston! Tried an assortment of food for the table and left full- HIGHLY recommend: Patatas bravas, Brussels sprouts, charred broccoli with butternut squash hummus (to die for), duck, and lamb belly (stole the show- melts in your mouth like butter). We asked the bartender to craft custom cocktails for us and were left impressed. Loved the community dining environment, shared plates, and entire experience. 10/10 will be back again to try more!

Franklin Barbecue

📍 Address: 900 E 11th St, Austin

I have tried to eat other BBQ since going to Franklin's, but it just isn't the same. Aaron Franklin has ruined all BBQ for me... and I don't know how I feel about that. I could have been happy eating different BBQ all around the Austin area for the rest of my life, but now every time I have a piece of brisket all I will do is measure them up to the benchmark that is Franklin's... and I bet you a dollar that they won't match what he has done. Excellent job, sir.

Rami's

📍 Address: 324 Harvard St, Brookline

PEOPLE HERE DO NOT DESERVE MY MONEY. They were rude to everyone, even rude to the pregnant lady with the baby in her arms. The big guy that works there literally pushed the baby carriage out of the way, and told the pregnant lady that she needed to stand somewhere else with the baby because his huge stomach and ass couldn't walk though, and really, she was not blocking anyone, and not only that, people with a little bit of decency would have walked around the poor pregnant lady, instead of scolding her. Also, Rami's use Groupon a lot, and when another customer that was trying to pay with her Groupon, the rudeass there was like "you have money, why the hell you got to pay with Groupon?" . The poor guy was an international tourist, so I guess he was confused to what he was being asked. I just couldn't stand the rudeness from this place, like seriously, got nothing nice to say, then just shut up. As for food- The food used to taste good that's why I always closed one eye when eating here, but since last year maybe? it's not even worth closing one eye for food that is handled, prepared and put together with BARE HANDS right after the guy SCRATCHES HIS HEAD AND BACK. The people that own and work here are disgusting, they not only do not have any respect for any of their customers, their food no longer taste good like they used to. I really wonder what had happened to this place, I'm literally disgusted thinking about my last 2 visits. NO MORE ever again. I used to bring friends and family here all the time, but RAMIS, you have forever lost a loyal customer. I can assure you that much.
