Island Creek Oyster Bar

📍 Address: 500 Commonwealth Ave, Boston

Food = 3 stars. I can't speak for the oysters, but 40% of the menu that's non-oyster is just OK. Not bad, but certainly overpriced. There is a very large beer/wine selection, however. Service = 3 stars. Servers are nice, but not terribly knowledgeable about their drink menu or specifics of much else. Our lead server was "new", but was clearly not ready for showtime. Ambiance = 5 stars. Once of the most spectacular interiors of any restaurant in Boston - nearly makes up for the bland-ish food...

The Daily Catch

📍 Address: 323 Hanover St, Boston

Highly over priced and the food sucks. There is barely any space in the restaurant , only 3 tables so you'll be forced to sit at the same table as other strangers. Paid $80 for halibut and lobster. The halibut was horrible and the pasta that came with it was worse than cafeteria pasta from school. And not to mention that there's hardly any parking around. So be prepared to pay at least $15 at nearby lots.

Pho Hong

📍 Address: 2521 Rutland Dr, Ste 400, Austin

Ok. So I was skeptical when I read how fast this place was at preparing and serving your food. I'm always looking for a place to have lunch that I can be in and out in less than half an hour and this place sure delivered. There were about 8-10 other people having lunch as well around 3pm and I still got my food in less than 7 minutes. The Pho is always a solid choice. While it's nothing to throw a celebration for, it satisfied my craving and tasted good. They also make their Thai Tea a bit stronger with more of the tea flavor and less of added milks and creams (which I prefer). All in all I was waited on fast and served fast which is exactly what i'm looking for in a lunch joint. Absolutely worth a try if you're looking for new places around to have a quick meal.

A great selection of unique food - including spicy stuff. Expect a long wait. The best atmosphere is during nice weather so you can sit outside.

This weekend we visited ICOB for the third time. While planning how to celebrate our 25th anniversary, this was our first choice.Nearly everything about the experience was perfect. We were a few minutes early for our reservation, and were promptly seated. The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded, they clearly have the reservation process perfected to not keep parties waiting. The restaurant is stunning - large windows look over Kenmore square, letting lots of sunlight in while cool, muted tones create a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The atmosphere is vibrant while not overly noisy. This is NOT a stuffy restaurant where you need to whisper - we enjoyed the hustle/bustle and feeling connected to all the activity. The staff were fabulous. Several staff were looking after our needs; being attentive but not obtrusive and truly engaging us in the process of ensuring every need was being tended to. Several wait staff spent several minutes talking with us and asking us about various aspects of our experience - what restaurant has enough staff to take the time do that? They made it seem effortless. The food was incredible: - oysters perfectly prepared and presented with just the right garnishes; best we've ever had! - luscious drinks - beautiful heirloom tomato salad - perfectly prepared calamari - gorgeous seared scallops with chorizo, potatoes and greens - succulent lobster roll on brioche Hearing it was our anniversary, the staff also comp'd us a pair of oyster sliders; a taste of sparkling rose, and a dessert. NIce touches. The owner (Garrett) stopped by our table to ask us how our experience was, and gave us his card. We congratulated him on achieving TripAdvisor "Top 10 Restaurants in US" and his response was "Thank you, we still have a lot of work to do". Class act. He was constantly busy delivering food, bussing tables, seating parties, partnering with staff on attending to every detail - a real TEAM.Fabulous restaurant. 3 visits, 5 stars each time. Go. Enjoy. Bring your appetite.

I was famished from traveling so I Ordered some food to go. Not fantastic. It was eatable. The portion was very small considering my situation and I'd say small in general.
