Cherrywood Coffeehouse

This is a great big open well-attended coffee shop with a huge outdoor section right on 38 1/2 in North-East Austin. Lots of stuff on the menu including great breakfast tacos and full breakfast items (they have egg whites and soyrizzo if you're into that). Bagels from Rock Star bagels in Austin. I'm grateful that they have a broad range of ingredients, little things like sprouts or hot sauce, that make it possible to put your own concoctions together. Parking lot is limited but there's plenty of neighborhood parking. They also have a wide array of draft beers, wines, and smoothies. Altogether a solid coffee shop and perfect for this recent regular.

I came here for breakfast and had the La Santé (soft Boiled egg, vine ripened tomato, avocado, prosciutto, extra virgin olive oil, grilled ciabatta) which was alright, but a little pricier for what it was, but the real treat was the lavender latte I had and the shared waffles dipped in various sauces- the pistachio white chocolate rosewater and the raspberry caramel were especially notable. Also, since I am a sucker for colour, I have to say that I love the turquoise-blue cups and saucers they had. The little things are important, and this is one of my favourite colours. I liked the interior in general, maybe a bit cramped (but if it's busy, it's a sign you're doing something right, so I can't really take points off for that!). Would definitely come back for waffles and lattes or mochas. I am also a huge sucker for anything lavender. Nicely done, Cafe Medina.

This place is delicious!! Best Asian food I've had in years!! The chicken is organic and so yummy! Not a small portion either for a decent price! They also have organic beer and wine! :). Oh and also complimentary tea and soup while you're waiting for your order. Yum yum! Highly recommend!!

Not a fan of this location. Offerings arent like other locations. More expensive/offer less. Why no coleslaw?! Would rather travel to Harvard Square or Alston.

If you have not been here, you are missing out! Fantastic HH! Great range of wines; price points are quite reasonable! Lovely and solicitous staff! Quaint atmosphere! My pasta dish was exceptional! We were here on a Wed. It was busy but not crazy! Make it your next choice!
Potbelly Sandwich Shop

I have been on a sandwich kick lately and accidently found this place a few buildings down from where we were installing a few replacement pieces of glass. I had never heard of it before yesterday. I am just glad I stumbled upon it. I ordered a 'Wreck' sandwich with all the fixings. The guy took my order and got right to work. Apparently they toast all their sandwiches, and in this case it was great. I normally never get my sandwiches toasted. It works here though. The sandwich was delicious and extremely fair in price. The only reason this place does not get 5 stars is the witch that took my money SNATCHED my debit card out of my hand. After my card was run she handed me my card and receipt and did not say thank you or have a nice day or anything. She just turned her VERY broad back to me and continued to make a shake.
