Mellow Mushroom - Sanford

📍 Address: 1831 Rinehart Rd, Sanford

Went here after shopping as we've seen this place open for awhile and was continuously busy. The restaurant in the former Shoney's Big Boy location was very unique and as usual busy for a Friday afternoon. Our waiter was funny and knowledgeable and offered suggestions, the menu is somewhat confusing and he was able to assist us in the navigation. We ordered the Hummus appetizer which was very good and proceeded to order a "Build Your Own" pizza as they've got the standard pizzas with a variety of toppings. Our choice of Feta, Spinach, Applewood smoked bacon, and Roma tomatoes was perfect, the dough is made differently than usual pizzerias with a more cornmeal flavor adding a sweetness. With the appetizer and a slice of pizza each, we were full and took home the pizza. Upon reheat the pizza was exactly the same as in the restaurant so I commend these folks for making this type of effort in the quality of ingredients. We'll be going back soon and often, I only wish they delivered.

Pok Pok

Pok Pok was good, not great. I think it's similar to an overhyped movie. So many people rave about it, that it didn't meet expectations. The chicken wings - good, but they're chicken wings. Had a number of other dishes. All good but nothing that I would have to come for again in the future. Overall yummy.

Yum, yum, yum!!!! A friend an I dropped in, early afternoon for lunch and we were blown away. We both had identical meals, margaritas ($8), and the pulled pork sandwiches ($10) which both were amazing! The pork melted in my mouth, and was served on a buttery toasted baguette, with a delicious spicy creamy sauce, and a mixed green salad. I will definitely be back! Especially to try some of the cheeses/desserts that tease you at the front door, beckoning you in. *The service was excellent, and the ambiance is great!!!

Always wanted to give Pok Pok a try, and I finally did. Boy, what a big disappointment! What are people raving about?!!!! First of all, the portions are very small, and rice doesn't come with the meal. You have to buy it separately. I have never eaten at an asian restaurant where the rice doesn't come with the meal. I got the wings they were pretty good, but the price for at the most 8 wings was ridiculous! This place must be raking it in! And at such a crazy price they can throw in some rice--how much would that cost them? Five cents? All I can say Pok Pok is overrated, and people are nuts to pay for such small portions. Never coming back.

Eddie George's Grille 27

📍 Address: 4575-4667 Sawyer Rd, Columbus

Disappointing. The sesame chicken salad they charge $16.49 for is a bag of lettuce; a tasteless, microwaved chicken beast that is rubbery; stale wontons and poor quality sauces. My recommendation to you: find another place to eat.
