Summer Moon Coffee - Buda

📍 Address: 316 N Main St, Buda

Stars: (4.5)

Excellent coffee. I highly recommend the "Half Moon". The location is perfect for anyone needing to run out for a quick pick-me-up or social meet-up. The WIFI is a great bonus. The ambience and staff are right on point and what Buda has been needing.

Sam LaGrassa's

📍 Address: 44 Province St, Boston

Stars: (4.5)

Well this was disappointing. After walking past this place at all hours and seeing it closed, I finally happened to be around at a time when they deemed to open their doors. Waited in line for half an hour, and ordered an overpriced sandwich. The choice of fillings is very standard, as are the suggested combos. The bread had completely deteriorated by the time I made the 10 minute journey back to my office, and I couldn't pick the sandwich up as a whole. While it did taste good, the thin bread and high prices definitely ruined the experience. This seems to be Boston's answer to the non-existent Jewish delis in the area. Pros: Tasted good, fresh Cons: Never open, long wait, expensive, bread is too thin!!!

Pok Pok

After hearing rave reviews about this Restautant, my wife and I decided to give it a try. We gave up coming here for dinner because the wait on a Saturday night was 1.5 hours long. We came the next day for lunch and there was no wait. For the two of us, we ordered - 1) papaya salad - good, tasty 2) Vietnamese style spicy wings - flavor was good, over fried though. The sweetness and the spicy flavor worked well. A bit below my expectation. 3) Boar's meat - it was okay. This is quite spicy so be aware! The meat is a bit dry. 4) Pak Si Ew - a traditional Thai dish, very well cooked, portion is a bit small. Well executed. Overall I think it is a bit overrated. The flavor profiles throughout all the dishes are pretty much around fish sauce and chili paste. The food was good, don't get me wrong. I just wasn't impressed.

Island Creek Oyster Bar

📍 Address: 500 Commonwealth Ave, Boston

Stars: (4.5)

I came here on a mission and that mission was to try everything that was raved about on yelp. I spent quite a lot of money attempting this mission so I will be honest and say that my experience here was an exact 3.5 stars. Since we ordered so many things, I will only emphasize the memorable dishes: 1. the oyster sliders: I wish I ordered 10 of these just for myself.. I could have just ate this and drank wine all night. They were a little pricey for $4/slider, but they were sooo good. 2. the honey biscuit: I've been to a good amount of restaurants in the south so I thought I would be disappointed by this biscuit... I couldn't be more wrong. This biscuit is EVERYTHING. If you don't like sweet things, don't order it. For people who have a sweet tooth like me, it's a flakey, buttery biscuit covered in honey..... need I say more. We also ordered the very hyped up lobster roe noodles, the herb crusted atlantic cod, 2 dozen oysters (i'm not sure which ones) and some other fish entree... the fact that I don't even remember what the name of the dish was probably alludes to the fact that I wasn't really impressed with these dishes. I will be completely honest and say that next time, I'll pass on the entrees. I'd rather order a bunch of the smaller dishes and drink some white wine. With that said, I am more than willing to give this place another try - I still haven't had the clam chowder or the lobster roll so.... until then!

Zaza's Cuban Cafe

📍 Address: 1 Jeff Fuqua Blvd, Airside 1, Gates 10-19, Orlando

Stars: (3.5)

I was born and raised in Miami. I grew up on Cuban food. THIS IS NOT CUBAN FOOD! I had the empanadas, guava & cheese pastelito, and a Cuban sandwich.... ALL BAD! How do you have a Cuban Sandwich with NO CUBAN BREAD?!?! The pastelito was not at all crispy, the guava was no where near authentic. The chicken empanadas were so bland. It had a taste close to cardboard. I don't know who Zaza is but this Zaza is not Cuban. This might be owned by the Georgian, Zaza Pachulia of the Golden State Warriors. What makes this worst is that there were Hispanics behind the counters making this food. I was so confident that they were going to make authentic Cuban food but I was deceived. DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER! DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER! DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER! DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER! DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER! DO NOT EAT AT ZAZA NEW CUBAN DINER!
