bartaco

📍 Address: 969 Marietta St NW, Atlanta

Stars: (4)

Bar Taco is a super cool taco place in West Midtown. The location is beautiful, however, parking is a nightmare. It is better if you can walk over, but it's between a crazy intersection and there's only a few spots available for Bar Taco folks. There is a free Valet, so remember to bring cash for tips. My friend and I came in to celebrate getting on with a new acting and modeling agency in town and when the manager heard, she brought us 2 glasses of bubbly on the house! It totally made the experience even more amazing. Our server was fantastic, very knowledgeable. We each ordered a few tacos, my favorite was the portBella, surprisingly, not saying anything negative about the meat tacos, they were awesome too. I love that you can get any taco wrapped in lettuce as an option, great for healthy eaters. Overall the experience was amazing and we will for sure be back!

Coast Restaurant

📍 Address: 1054 Alberni Street, Vancouver

Stars: (3.5)

I tried to make a reservation for party of 12 and they told me they only seat large large dinner parties before 6pm or after 9pm. Who eats dinner at those hours!!! Regardless of how the food is, I would never go to this place for dinner based on how the reservation process works....

Les Faux Bourgeois

📍 Address: 663 E 15th Avenue, Vancouver

All of the yes! If there was an option of 4.5 stars, that would be my rating - because no where is perfect, but this little bistro sure does a consistently grand job. My guy and I have made a few visits here so far and all of them have been positive: good food and wine, good service. We've been a combination of fortunate and flexible with our dinner times - and enjoyed being served at a table and at the bar. Only critique is the super cosiness - it's a small space with a lot of tables, it's a given that the people at the next table will hear all of your conversation. Looking forward to our next semi-spontaneous visit.

Engine House Pizza

📍 Address: 71 Lafayette St, Salem

Engine House has always been my favorite place to get a salad from. Fresh veggies, good dressing a homemade pita bread! But the last two times I've ordered have been a nightmare. The first mistake they made was sending a salad without dressing. I called, they said someone would come out with some dressing. I had to go out to a dance recital before it arrived but turns out it never came. My boyfriend was home all night. The next day, i called and they were super nice and credited me for the mix up. So we ordered again the next week. Well, our salads arrived without pita bread. I made a point to ask for dressing when I called and used the credit from the previous order. They did send out the pita bread but it was still pretty frustrating to have two mix ups! We probably will not be going back for awhile.

Schmidt's Sausage Haus

📍 Address: 240 E Kossuth St, Columbus

Stars: (4)

If you like German food, sausage, sour kraut, potato salad, cabbage, and more, there could not be a better place. The buffet (10.95) offers it all, it's not a big buffet, but the quality of the food is outstanding. Plus there is a salad bar and soup. This is the place. Weekends, there is alway a wait, but during the week days not to bad. Can't go there enough. And the desserts are absolutely to die for.

Medina Cafe

📍 Address: 780 Richards Street, Vancouver

Food is really good so i would give it a 4 but due to the extrememly long wait times, I knocked a star off. Recommend getting the paella and trying at least one waffle. Had the white chocolate pistachio sauce for the waffle. Recommend getting one sauce and share amongst 2 people. We got there before they opened at 9am on Saturday and there was already a long line. We put our names down and came back an hour later but there was still about a 20 min wait. So be prepared to walk around the area or find something else to do to kill time.
